Last time I went (around 2009) I cosplayed as Sora from the Disney * SquareEnix Video game Kingdom Hearts..I was a pretty big hit. I was happy that the characters figured out who I was and have tons of pictures taken..

Take a look at my profile picture. We went in 2010 as Mr and Mrs Claus and their two favorite elves on vacation. My sons had christmas light battery powered suspenders , pointy ears and elf shoes with bells. We decorated our stroller with battery powered christmas lights. We were a hit there. When we first walked in a couple of cast members took us aside to take our pictures and then gave (not traded) our boys free pins. There was a kid crying and a dad thanked us becasue he just told his kid that Santa was always watching and then we walked around the corner, the kid instantly perked up. Everyone constantly wanted pictures with us. My boys had more candy than they knew what to do with. At the Dance parties the characters were constantly dancing with them. Durring the parade, the ghost from the HM kept comming up to me telling me they had been good all year. Most fun we had all vacation and it was a great vaction. Memories we'll never forget and we got a great Christmas card out of it.

I am planning on going as a Newsie. I am not sure if people will get the reference but I have the official Newsie's hat from the Paper Mill production (found out the style I have is no longer being sold!) and will have to find a papes bag like the one they use in the shows.

Last year my Family went at the Flintstones. It is a lot of fun. This year I'm thinking of going as Perry the Platypus and having my husband go as Doofenshmirtz.

Ah so they let you take your keyblade in? I was worried they wouldn't let in anything resembling any kind of weapon, as this year I wanted to bring mine. Hopefully the rules in DLR are similar!
(Also cute costume!)

Well..sorta..I did have to ask about it before the party happend. I had to show to guest relations as a just in case precaution. They said it was fine and not long (about 2 feet) Just think of it as an anime convention with stricter guidelines. I met another guy that was playing as Sora but his keyblade was cardboard..Mine is made with really light wood.

Here's my daughter at Halloween 2011.. She has this year planned and we are already working on it. Last years she decided just two weeks before Halloween and it was a rush to finish.
