Any way to reserve a window table at Jiko?

Can you call ahead and reserve a table along the window or is it luck of the draw when you arrive?

You can request it, but there are no guarantees. Also mention it at the podium when you check in at Jiko.

No matter where they sit you the ambience of this restaurant is superb,and if your concerned about looking out the window for animals,after your meal ask for night vision glasses to get a real view of the wildlife.:wave:

Is there any particular reason you want a window table at Jiko? Keep in mind that it's not like Sanaa. There aren't views of the savanna from Jiko. I think that the tables by the windows are actually some of the least ambient in the dining room.

Agreed. While one half of yourself will enjoy the ambience of the restaurant, the other half of you will be distracted by what is walking in and out of the pool area. If you want to request an area at Jiko, request the wine room.

As for Sanaa, there are not many tables that overlook the savannah. And keep in mind that once the sun goes down, you won't be able to see much outside.

the window seat at jiko does not look over a savanah. it looks over the pool area.

The window seats an Sanaa do look over the savanah. This one I recommend getting a reservation at opening. They do this cool drum thing for opening and you can ask for a window seat when you get there.
