Multiple PhotoPass cards on a single Photo CD?

Thought I should go to the team for help here.

We'll be at WDW last weekend of April with our son's high school band, performing over a few days. There is potential for a number of kids/parents to have PhotoPass shots taken. Will the PhotoPass Photo CD folks allow me to consolidate several cards worth of pictures onto a single Photo CD for me to purchase? Assume I don't exceed the number of pictures that could fit on a cd.

Thanks in advance for help on this topic.

Photo pass CD

We just returned from a week trip during Spring Break. We had 6 different cards with over 229 pictures in total. We were able to edit, add borders and download ALL the pictures to our computers.

It's a great spend of $170 to have great memories.

Have a great trip

When we went last year I consolidated 2 or 3 photopass cards onto one CD. I think you just need to make sure that one person gets all the cards at the end of your trip. I believe you can even order multiple CDs so each family can get one.

Yes you can. One year I put all my cards I had on the website, and then 2 weeks later when my sister got home from her trip we put those on there as well. Then we ordered an extra CD which at the time was about $20 then split the cost of all whole order.

i have done a number of times, i just collect all the photo cards at end of trip. then i put on one account, let others add borders, ect then order one cd. some times we have enough pictures for more than one cd. the price is for the account not how many cds. going to have to figure out how to do with the new plan. will be together for upgraded pics but not always in park.

I know you can consolidate cards on one account, I did it last fall. However I think you can only get 500 pics on one CD(I might be off on that number). I know after I added borders and such I ended up with around 350 on one CD.

If I am not mistaken, you can go to any of the Camera Centers in the parks and they can consolidate all of the photos for you onto one card also to make it a bit easier..... I did this a few years ago when we left the card in the hotel and had to put the pics together...

Thanks everyone!!! It should be fun to get both the adult's cards and the kids cards with groups from all around the parks.

How flexible the photographers are with other 'candid' photos....kids in the parade, kids on stage performing? We have a number of parents who could not make the trip. I'm sure we'll get lots of great posed photos, just wondering how much we can get away with on other shots?

You can associate numerous cards with a single account. I typically get a new one each day on our trip. They can combine multiple cards onto a single card, but you don't need to. Just make sure to text yourself the number, or take a picture of the card with your camera just in case.

There is no limit. You get a copy of every picture in the account. If it takes more than one CD, you get multiple CDs. Last CD order I ended up doing was 12 CDs. So you have no limit.

The flexibility of the photographers depends on where they are. Some events, like the Jedi Training, have a photographer that takes tons of candid shots of all the kids, and then gives everyone a copy of the number. The Phineas & Ferb line does this at times as well. If you look, Family of the Day normally has one as well, and I saw them getting a private photo session type setup down by the castle last trip. If you see a photographer waiting around, they will normally take pictures of you wherever you would like, as long as they can still get to their set prior to the assigned time. So they may very well assign a photographer for the performance, I'm not sure. You may be able to ask at the photo desk and they may be able to "loan" you one for a few minutes. If you want performance photos I would plan on having some of the parents take the pictures with their own cameras and then pool them together afterwards.

A few quick thoughts:

1. You can consolidate all cards at a Photopass kiosk while on property, or online in your account when you get home.

2. There is no limit to the number of photos.

3. You can now download all pics as zip files instead of waiting for a CD in the mail. We got home in March and when I went to order the CD, I saw this option to download. It surprisingly was a very quick download process as 2 Zip files. When 'unzipped', the photos were still very large files and were not compressed. This process was great because I had all the Photopass photos on my laptop 2-3 days after we got home. Also, my daughter, who is away at university, went to our account and downloaded them to her laptop right after I did so we each had a set. So much better than buying 2 CDs or copying files.

4. Tip: Take a photo with your phone or camera of the back of every photopass card. If a card was lost, there is no way to retrieve the photos unless the Photopass CMs know the number on the back. :)
