Kona or Liberty

Greetings,

I have a lunch reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern at the end of August. Looks good to me but getting the "meh" from the family.

So...switch to Kona ? Although they are polar opposites, looking for thoughts on both. Looked at Ohana but nothing available at this time

Thanks.

I recommend switching to Kona. I think that it is a much better restaurant. You won't find anything for lunch at 'Ohana since they only serve breakfast and dinner.

Isn't Liberty Tree like family style all you can eat? It was when we ate there and it was just ok. Go Kona and get a steak:-) Yum!

Done both. If you want to stay in MK, Liberty for lunch is not family style and each person gets individual meal, which is tasty but not outstanding. If you can leave MK, maybe to return to MK or before heading for other events, Kona is better food. Also prefer the atmosphere at Poly. Both are fine lunch but fill different objectives.

I like both, but Kona is one of my favorites restaurants in WDW. I'd say to switch it up if you don't mind leaving the park & returning. It's actually a nice break from the parks, and the Poly is beautiful just to visit.

Made the switch to Kona. I must admit the menu selections look way better.

We have no problem jumping from park to park but this was the MK day start to finish, so we confined our choices to the park and monorail resorts.

Boy, booking these ADR's is the most stressful part of the trip to me.

Thanks to all for your replies.

For the lunch option I would go with Liberty Tree, Kona is a favorite of ours and a must do every trip, but for breakfast. We find Kona average for lunch/dinner and I would rather stay in the park and eat at Liberty Tree.
