Attractions and Bag Storage

Just wondering if there is a quick link anywhere that would show what size bags can be taken on rides for Disney and Universal.

I am bringing my camera gear in this:
http://products.lowepro.com/product/CompuDay-Photo 250,2249.htm

I don't know if it will fit in the storage area for RnR or if I will have to store it in a locker. I am definitely going on that ride! Are there any other Disney rides that I may not be able to take this pack on with me?

The Universal rides - I can do without going on the big rollercoasters - I don't mind using that time to take some photos while my friends go on but are there any other rides that I may need to store my bag?

Thanks for your help.

I carry a backpack (camera equipment enclosed) throughout the parks. I have never had a problem on any Disney attraction. Specific to your question, I always place it between my feet on RnRC, and I have yet to loose it to gravity.
Universal is more strict regarding the use of lockers on some of their rides (the mummy ride comes to mind).

That bag is probably pushing it at Rock 'n Rollercoaster. It *might* fit, but due to the nature of the ride and the equipment that you'll be putting inside the bag, I'd probably go with a locker. Most other WDW attractions should be able to accommodate your bag with a minimum of fuss.

Universal is a completely different story. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Men in Black: Alien Attack, Revenge of the Mummy, Hollywood Rip Ride Rock it, Dragon Challenge and The Incredible Hulk all require you to story any loose belongings or bags in a free (for a limited time) locker. It gets to be a hassle. I've learned to try to avoid bringing any bags whatsoever when I visit Universal.

Thank you...that helps a lot. I defintely want to do the Mummy ride. The last time I was at Universal was the day the Mummy ride officially opened. I got to the park around 10:00am and the line up was around a 5 hour wait.

We decided to skip that and do the rest of the park instead but I always felt I really missed out on something. I will have an Express Pass this time (staying at Hard Rock for the Universal portion of my trip) so I will be doing that for sure.

Are there lockers located near the Mummy or should I put my bag in a locker at the entrance and get it later?

Well, not a Harry Potter fan and I've already done the other coasters. Also I have quite low blood pressure and the combo of a lot of thrill rides and the heat can get the better of me which is why Disney parks are a better bet.

I would like to do Men in Black and the Mummy though - two rides I have never done. I have 4 days at Universal though so perhaps one day is for pure enjoyment and no photos. It does seem like a hassle to keep going to lockers.

I thought Disney was mostly "bag friendly" compared to Universal. I can also switch to taking my smaller bag with only one lens on my Studios day. The RnR was the only attraction that came to mind that I may have issues with.

I was a little concerned with Kali as I've often gotten soaked on there but with the combo of the bag holder in the centre and my water-resistant cover for my bag I think I'll be OK there.

I appreciate the tips.

There are lockers outside every attraction that requires them. It's a pain in the butt, though. I haven't used them in a few years, but they used to use finger scanners that don't always work. My nephew and I had to hang out outside Men In Black for 20 minutes before someone had a chance to come open the locker for me.
I just bring a small p&s camera to Universal so I can avoid a bag completely now.
