Ah Ha, New that would get your attention. Now I believe that the only country at Epcot that doesn't have a TS is America. After watching the British chef Jamie Oliver doing his tour of the states, enjoyed it so much I bought the book,so question is,what type of restaurant would represent USA. May I start the ball rolling.I would name it " Old Glory " and would have cusines from all over the states, so if you were from Louisiana you could enjoy a jambalaya or a Gumbo, etc, etc.Give us your ideas please.

To keep up part of the Colonial Theme which fills the area:
A great Boston landmark, Durgin-Park resides by the waterfront in the Quincy Market Area. Starting out as a place to feed the crews of ships killing time in Boston harbour, Durgin-Park has evolved into a restaurant for everyone, and is one of Boston's most well known places to eat. Durgin-Park retains the long tables from that period, and believes in hefty portions of food at all times. Options at Durgin-Park are hearty American food, including chicken pot pie, ribs and roast beef.
This style restaurant, with the saucy waitresses, would be a great addition.

Saucy Waitress ?

I remember stopping late on at a roadside diner in Glasgow,I asked the waitress if the fryers were still on,she said" yes, what would you like? "I asked for two burgers and one hot dog.She lifted up the freezer top and placed the burgers under her arm pits.I said," what are you doing " she replied " defrosting the burgers " I said to her " cancel the dog ".:ROFLOL:

It would be really hard if not impossible to have a TS restaurant that represented the US as a whole. Due to the US's size and make up of dozens of different cultures about the only quintessential American food is unfortunately fast food. If they were going to go with an American TS restaurant they would have to bite the bullet and pick a specific part of the country and time frame and go with it. What I would love to see more than a TS place is something along the line of Sunshine seasons in the Land where you could have individual stations representing different parts of the country.

Agreed.

Spot on,thats what I meant by having Cajun, east coast, west coast, etc.I went to a restaurant called " Around the world in 8 ways " and each page on the menu had meals from 8 different countries. All you would need is a couple of talented chefs, like me,cooking up meals from all over the states, infact I can just picture the New Yorker discussing his steak with the Californian.:slurp:

I have never been a big fan of TS places with giant menus. The seem to run into the issue of being good or fair at everything but great at nothing. If they were to go the TS route I would much rather them focus on one thing and do it right then a half job of trying to do everything.

Yep,Get your point, you've just reminded me of an Indian restaurant I was in years ago.The menu had 16 pages of various masalas, curries, rice, breads, etc.when the waiter came to take my order I was still at page 9.:ROFLOL:

Your idea of mirroring Sunshine Seasons would be outstanding; the only problem being that it would make my decision of where to eat in World Showcase that much more difficult! I am willing to give it a go, though!
