Does anybody know what date all of the lights will be off the castle by? In recent years they have all been of by the 20th of January. I am heading down on the 23rd, and I DO NOT want to see the castle with that hideous crane working on it. It really would ruin the magic!

I usually go the last week of January - first week of February and I've seen a few pieces of lights still hanging on at that time.

I feel this way about DHS "Osborne Lights" debacle. When we go down (usually around October, but sometimes late August / early September), the beautiful Back Lot is covered with these ridiculous green strands of lights. It wouldn't be so bad if they did what they do to the castle (i.e., make them the same color as the buildings themselves). I just hate it. And, for me, the payoff is definitely not worth it (I am not a fan of the Osborn Spectacle of Lights).

But I also realize that there are oodles of people who love that and it takes time to put that stuff up (as in, several months ahead of time); and that I could choose another time of year to go.

Still... for me, it really ruins the magic.

Just my 2-cents!

Judy :-)

I didn't notice any lights on the castle, doesn't mean they arn't there. There were no cranes or anything around the castle. Looks just amazing as always.

Osborne lights were still up in full effect yesterday though.

Where the christmas decorations and music still playing at Magic Kingdom?
I haven't wanted to go back until they are down, and its the normal music again (local visitor)
