October Crowds

I just booked @ Ft. Wilderness from October 7, 2012 through October 19, 2012. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the crowds may be like during that time? We have never been in October, looking forward to MNSSHP and seeing the Halloweeen/Fall theme Thanks!!

My favorite time of the year to visit WDW. Crowds are worse than they used to be at that time...but they're still better than most of the year. The weather is mild too. You're going to have a blast!

Make sure you check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party one night you're there. The parade and fireworks are my favorite of any Disney puts together.

Touring Plans has the crowds listed as such;

8-6-5-6-2-6-9-3-3-2-3-1-2

We're heading to WDW later in Oct but we've been in Oct in the past and the crowds are very manageable. As Touring Plans shows above; the crowds at this time can fluctuate somewhat. Just use the fast-passes and extended hours to your advantage and for the number of days we are going for, you should be able to do everything you want with lots of time to spare.

i was there late october to november and crowds were AMAZING i waited no more than 10 minutes for any ride the whole 2 weeks i was there!!

Thanks! Can't wait!! I'm looking forward to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We have been to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party but after reading reviews, the Halloween Party is a whole different experience. :sohappy:

The MNSSHP is awesome - make sure to get good seats for the parade; the Headless Horseman and Grave Diggers are the best!!

We were there mid-October ,2011. Crowds were larger than we expected but not too bad, with a couple exceptions.

Epcot during the day because of food and wine was pretty busy in world shoowcase, and the non-Halloween party nights were very crowded for parades and fireworks. Because of halloween parties most nights, there were only 2 nights to catch parades and fireworks in MK without paying another $ 65!
