You can pre-purchase and it is 99 dollars.
When you get back you'd check all ur picks and order your cd and it'll just be an additional 7 bucks for shipping.
hope this helps.

We've done the Photopass pre order for our last 4 trips (going back to 2009). Then, we make sure we get lots and lots of Photopass pics while on vacation. :)

Yep, I just purchased ours 2 weeks ago for $99. We had our trip last week. Then yesterday instead of getting a CD I had them send me the pics via download so they would go right on my puter as I wanted to use some for Christmas cards.... quick and easy!

You can opt for a download instead? How to go about choosing that, and do they send all the pics on the CD? Thanks.

You can choose download instead, it took about an hour for me to get an email saying they were ready. I got mine in several zip files and saved them right to my computer with all of the pics I took on my own. Then I think it was $9.99 to still have a CD mailed on top of that. I just opted for the download since I back up my pics to an external hard drive and also to an online account, so I don't really use CD's much anymore.

Hope that helps!

  1. Has anyone ever had so many pictures taken that they would not all fit on a single PhotoPass CD? If so, was there any upcharge for the additional disc(s)?
  2. Also, can photos be "merged" onto a single disc purchase? For example, if my family decides to split up for the afternoon, half go to EPCOT and half go to the Magic Kingdom, can I include all of our respective family photos on a single disc? Would I need to photocopy the back of my PhotoPass card so that the code can be scanned by different photographers and all matched up to the same account for purchase?
  3. What if I lose my card, and get a new one, will the photos from the two cards end up on the same disc purchase?

This is our 3rd time with the photopass and haven't gotten more than one CD yet... I think we had about 275 pics this time. I am sure people have A LOT more than us, so not sure when they would go to a second CD. They also include the 'bonus' content, which are stock photos of the characters, etc dependent on your pics.

You can use several cards.. we are notorious for leaving cards in our room, etc from the day before... you just type in all the card numbers that you have on the photopass site before ordering your CD and they get consolidated.
You can also bring all of your cards to a photo place at WDW and I guess they will put them all on one for you, but we've never bothered. I typed in 7 cards from this most recent trip.

One suggestion we figured out is we photograph the back of our photopass cards (the number) as soon as we get it with our own camera. That way if we lose a card with pics on it the pics aren't gone... we still have the number to type in when we get home. We haven't lost one yet, but it's nice to know we have a back up plan just in case.

2 & 3 Yes. You can register as many cards as you want to your account and they will all come on the same CD.. we had 6 cards on our last one. 3 for us cause we kept losing them. 2 for another family (SIL Fam) and 1 for the father and mother in law

1. I have no idea

So then couldn't friends/families/perfect strangers fee-split a PhotoPass order?

For example, theoretically speaking, couldn't "DisneyMagic" purchase a disc (or online downloads), and then register a dozen cards on behalf of the dozen members who happen to be visiting this weekend, who would then only have to reimburse "DisneyMagic" with a fraction of the cost? If every member of a fan message board paid $1 for one year, that would be more than enough reimburse the board owner for multiple PhotoPass orders, which all of the members who visit WDW could then benefit from...?
