Tables in Wonderland question

I was hoping someone could explain to me about TIW and if they think it is worth it? We are annual pass holders and we are going 2 more times before our passes expire. We usually buy the deluxe dining plan but as you know it just eating your way through the parks. We tried the dinging plan but we love our certain restaurants and 1 tb meal was not enough. Is it worth buying TIW????

We definitely think it is worth it! We were AP holders too, so it was only $75. In order to break even and start seeing pure savings, you'd have to spend $375 pre-discount, which was easy for us after a few meals with alcoholic drinks. We have never done any of the dining plans, so I can't compare the two, but TIW just stood out as the better choice for how we eat.

All you need to do is the math. You need to spend $375 at the participating restaurants you break even. If you spend more than that you are saving money.

I have used both TIWL and the DDP and I prefer the freedom that TIWL offers over the DDP. Plus I do not have to jump through hoops to get the AP DDP.

I absolutely prefer TiW over DDP.

With DDP I found it onerous having to keep track of credits and try to maximize value-for-money. With TiW, my preferrence for table service and my enjoyment of alcohol with meals or at bars fits perfectly.

As Richard says, you need to do the maths for yourselves though.

Make sure you keep track of everywhere that it is accepted. On our last trip we went to AK, and I didn't take my card. We found out after the fact that Flame Tree accepts the card. Not many counter service will take it.

TiW is great because not only is it good at almost all TS restaurants (I think even Victoria & Albert's takes it?), but like others have said it is also good at QS places where TS is not available or not as prevalent. You can use it as Restaurantasaurus, Flame Tree and Pizzafari in DAK as well as at the food court for All-Stars, Pop, and POFQ. You even get 20% off your refillable mug!

I've had TiW for a year and find it well worth the money. I didn't realize it was good at those QS locations - how does that work as far at the 18% tip goes? Do they just give you the 20% off and not charge the tip at those locations?

Last I checked V&A takes it for the regular dining room (I have used it there) but not for the Chef's Table.

I do not think the resorts have them yet but you can get one at guest service at any park or DTD.
