Here is another nice fun thread, the question is What is your favorite Walt Disney Hotel.
You must state the name,
You can state reasons why you like it,
Share magical moments/memories of the specific hotel.

Hope you all have a magical day :)

My favorite hotel at wdw is The Contemporary.
Ever since i started visting, ive always loved this hotel.
Its got the best view of MK, and i love the monorail passing thru it.

I've recently gotten to fully check out the resort and love it.

My favorite is probably the Yacht Club. I love the north-eastern feel along with being situated between EPCOT and MGM. It also has a very unique pool. :)

I like the Contemporary a lot as well. Out of the 6 times I've stayed at Disney deluxe hotels that was our favorite trip and we weren't even in the
main tower. I can't even begin to imagine how amazing that would be. I would say I like the originals (Poly and Contemporary) the most. My opinion might change after we stay at the GF in December.

My fave is Port Orleans French Quarter. It's small and cozy. Love the music. Of course if I could afford the Yacht Club I would probably like that better.

Wilderness Lodge
I love it because I am a boat ride away from the MK and I love the theming.
This was the first resort my wife and I stayed at.

I have stayed at the BC and my favourite is POFQ. I can spend the money for YC/BC but don't see the value in it. Maybe for very special occasions.

Contemporary

My favorite is the Contemporary. As a kid, we stayed there every summer and it holds such a special place in my heart <3. Plus, I feel like it's the only hotel where every day is exciting when you leave your room to go to the monorail because of the big open area! It's such a great start to the day to look over the railing with my kids now and see all of the characters at Chef's Mickey's -you wake up each day to the most loved characters already there in your hotel! Every time I leave I just can't wait to go back...

My last trip was to Port Orleans Riverside. So far that has been my favorite. It was such a relaxing atmosphere and affordable. Loved hearing the horse and carriage and the dixie land music. Next time we are hoping to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We will see if that will be my new favorite.

Contemporary

At this point, I think that my favorite is the Contemporary. I stayed there on my first trip to the World when it just opened, and recall how excited I was about the monorail passing through the hotel - being able to step outside the room, look in to the giant atrium, and see the monorail right there. The view of MK from the tower is pretty special, and I guess I'm one of the few who does not mind the look of the new Bay Lake Tower DVC addition. Now, with the renovations, the rooms are again 'contemporary'. Also, California Grill is one of my absolute favorite Disney restaurants. (Sharing that title with Victoria & Albert's, Jiko and Citricos).

(Yacht & Beach Clubs can't be beat for location - being able to walk in to EPCOT through the International Gateway is excellent and Stormalong Bay is fun ....)

There are times I would have said Animal Kingdom Lodge, since I love the atmosphere, the animals, Jiko & Boma, but it is hurt by its inconvenience and rather plain rooms.

For moderates, its certainly Port Orleans - Riverside or French Quarter. I figure I 'should' like Coronado Springs more and I do stay there sometimes (more modern, fitness center, etc.) but for some reason it just feels too much like an upmarket motel, rather than the full Disney experience.

Wilderness Lodge for me. When I enter the lobby it's magical.
Same here. I also love heading down to the Villas lobby/central area. It's a great place to just hang out and read if you have some extra time and I love listening to the music and taking in the theming.
