I just logged in and was about to comment on one of the Avatar Land threads, only to realize the thread I was reading had been closed. Then I noticed another Avatar Land-related thread was closed...then another. What gives?? I didn't see anything offensive written in them?? :veryconfu

The moderators are trying to keep it all in the big main one.
Which is kinda dumb giving how many people have written/commented in it..
Its good to have minifourms.

Makes perfect sense to me.

We're five years from actually having the land. I can do without twenty or thirty different threads about something I won't care in the slightest about for the next four years clogging up the forums. :king:

There's two threads- one about the announcement and another about the potential rides/attractions/etc. that the new area could bring. Considering everything is blue sky right now, that's probably more than enough for the time being.....

I understand, but that very concept is why I have not even bothered to read the thread. There were over 600 posts in the first hour or 2. Not going to try to catch up with all the past posts, too much time for any topic. They should give it a FLE type subforum and let it go wild.

What's the difference between reading 50 new messages in a single thread as opposed to reading 10 new messages in 5 different threads? There is really no point in breaking it up at this point since seperate threads are unlikely to stay on topic so you would end up reading them all anyway. Sometime I think the FLE forum should be a single thread since the posts there often don't stay on topic either.

This project is so far away that everything being spoken about is either opinion or speculation. There are no facts, and because of that no real need for different threads on every topic. This also allows us to not have a news and rumors section completely covered in Avatar threads that push other important topics off the front page. Like Fantasyland, once there are more concrete details and concept art there will likely be a sub-forum that will have multiple threads on the project. While you might not want to read a really long thread, just remember that whether it is in one thread or many different ones it is all the same number of posts.
