A Possible change at the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular (IJSSS)

Hi everyone,

I was just having a conversation with my family about what we really lobe at WDW! We were talking about the IJSSS and we were saying that it is quite dated... Hey! I LOVE the show! I really enjoy it everytime I see it when we go! But I can't help to think that it has been the same show for a loooooong time, I think we calculated 16 years or soo...

How come the show hasn't changed much or brought in new scenes? Possibly new scenes from the new Indiana Jones film..

Just want to know people's thoughts on this... :)

I love the show! Always will do! :)

Regards,

Tristan

Indy opened in 1989. So that's 22 years of basically the same show.

I wish I could answer this but can't. I have said for a long time that I would like to see changes to the show. It seems like it would be relatively simple as there isn't really a building that needs to be altered, it's mostly an outdoor set.

Don't get me wrong, I like the show, I would just like to see something different.

I can go on the same ride over and over and still enjoy it. I can't say the same thing about seeing a show. For example, I can go on Peter Pan's Flight and notice something I hadn't noticed before because we are moving through the sets and we only get fleeting views of some angles. But in Indy, I sit in the same, nonmoving seat and have plenty of time to absorb what is going on, what everything looks like, etc.

However, the scenes they present in Indy are familiar to many, many people and first-timers seem to really enjoy the show. When I go theater is packed. Disney probably sees no need to change something that is working...

I personally love the show the exact way it is. I have been watching it since 1991 and have not become tired of it. The last thing it needs is scenes from Crystal Skull...I do my best to try and forget of that films existence in the first place:lol:

Totally agree on that. That was just a terrible movie, so disappointing. I'd much rather see "Pandora-land" than "Crystal Skull-land". :)

The simple answer is they do not need to. Even though the show is 22 years old guests keep showing up in droves. When and only when the crowds start to wane Disney will either change it or replace it.

Haha absolutely. I really didn't think AVATAR was that great at all but man I'm excited to see what Disney does with it. Heck I'm just thrilled that AK is finally going to be a full day park!
