Walt Disney Imagineering building new project office in the former STOLport area

My gut says that it's probably for PI and GF work as you point out in your update. Also, what about the supposed DVC at Ft. Wilderness?

Aren't they supposed to be redesigning the parking entrance/road into DHS soon as well?

My heart definitely hopes for much more though.

It seems kind of far to be for projects in AK, DHS, or Epcot, so maybe the Frontierland rumor isn't as Blue Sky as we all think? But then again it could be to allow for a centrally located main office for the projects that are going on (or will soon be going on) across the property. So perhaps the other parks aren't completely ruled out.

Very interesting. I feel like all the signals have been pointing to huge announcements at the d23. Will they be as big as most of us would like? Who knows, but hopefully. The fact that Iger was in town when he was just in town a month or so prior for the opening of star tours definitely makes me wonder if something huge is in the works. This combined with Universals success the past year and 2 months really is starting to make me think HUGE things are in the making. Let's face it FLE is not the Potter Swatter, but something else would be like South America or a new country at epcot with a e-ticket or a pixar place place expansion. I don't hold my hopes too high and I am happy with the FLE, but I would love to hear a bombshell at the D23.

I seem to remember someone on here saying that one of the projects we have heard about for the studios couldn't be built easily because there were WDI offices in the way. I think it was the Monster's Inc. coaster, but it may have been something else...or, it could be my Jungle Cruise moment...:ROFLOL:

They did something similar when they were building Bay Lake Tower.
This is very likely related to DVC, either at the GF or elsewhere.

Looks like two standard construction trailers, with a roof attached to them.. We had a similar thing when they were building the Volkswagen Plant in Chattanooga. Looks like it can be very temporary if it needs to be.

Those trailers seem too small to accomodate anything other than a small project like DVC. There's no way there'd be enough space in there to house all of the Imagineers that would be needed for a large project.

They are bigger than the Fantasyland project offices. So they could certainly be used for a very large project.

Fifth park. Monorail expansion. GF DVC. PI redo. Tron lightcycles. Four Seasons hotel. Monsters ride. Australia. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Imagination. Journey to the Center of the Earth. XPass. Health and Wellness suites. New parade. Brazil. Cars.

Something.

Those trailers look very plush, when compared to contractor trailers around my neck of the woods. Landscaping, nice paved parking, covered walkways.

Those are small temporary buildings and they have been there for a little while. I believe they were added about the time the FLE project started. You can see them on Google maps, and Bing.

No they are infact brand new. Have a look at my article, and you'll see the buildings on the left hand side that have been there for years, and these new buildings have been installed in the last few weeks. You can even see people in the photos working on the area getting it ready.

I have attached a Google Maps view. The black circle shows the old offices that were built for FLE a few years back, and the red area shows the location of the new offices that I have shown photos of in todays update.
