We just changed reservations to the Lake Buena Vista Resort village and spa. Has anyone on here ever stayed there? If so what did ya think?

I HAVE!!

It was the BEST resort i have ever stayed in!

There was a bath with hot tub settings in one of the bedrooms (Which are ridiculously large btw) and everything is GREAT size. Table and chair on balcony, which is nice because a lot of resorts don't even have a balcony.

It was VERY clean when you go in, but you have to clean after yourself once you are in there as a maid only comes once a week i think. You get a dryer in your room which comes in handy.

The pool is very nice with hammocks and its great for kids, yet adults can relax too. Theres a nice pool bar there too.

There is an irish bar across the street which is really nice if you want a late night drink or something to eat and its family friendly.

The only....kind of bad thing is that the shower in the main bathroom is literally just there. There is a separate room for a toilet, but with the shower, there isn;t much privacy which is kind of weird, but there is a separate bathroom anyway.

Oh my goodness i loved it there :D ENJOY YOURSELF.

Thanks! We did enjoy it. We had a 3 bedroom suite almost over the pub. had to walk to the main pool :-( But the pool was nice although this was a quick trip and we didn't spend much time there. The bedroom was huge which was nice. My only complaint was that the windows need some blackout shades and the beds were't all that comfy (although it was really nice having a king size)
Overall I would recommend this resort for those seeking to stay off property. It is real close to the parks and DTD.

I stayed there back in '03. Nice, decent facilities, easy walk to DD. We had a nice room with one of the best views of Downtown Disney. We could also see EPCOT. Not as nice as the Disney Resorts we've stayed at since, but worth staying there at least once.

Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa is down 535 from DTD. It is not on Disney property. It's fabulous. They're privately owned condos (which most people don't realize) in a hotel tower setting. The suites are 2 or 3 bedroom with full kitchen. The location next to the Lake Buena Vista outlet mall is a plus too. We haven't stayed there in a few years, but we used to get a 2-bedroom suite for around $149 a night.

The resort you're thinking of is the Lake Buena Vista Hotel (confusing, I know) across from DTD, which is fantastic as well. Clean contemporary hotel within walking distance of DTD. The rooms are around $100 a night. For the price, location and room quality, it's one of the best hotels on Disney property!

we stayed in a 3 bedroom suite with the pool view. our stay was amazing it has a good location right beside of an outlet mall. The pool was amazing with the pirateship in it. Its about a mile from a Wal-Mart. If was not taking 12 people with me we would be staying there this year.

We are staying here next month. The day we arrive will be my daughter's 8th birthday and we want to go out for dinner to celebrate. Any suggestions on a restaurant near this hotel that would be good for her birthday dinner? Is our best bet to drive over to DTD?

You are only about 5 minutes to DTD from the resort. That's what we usually did when we stayed there. But you are only 5 to 10 minutes from anything you would want to eat also.

We have stayed twice and just booked for a third time. You will not find bigger rooms anywhere and the kids just love the Pirate ship in the pool. I like the Outlet mall next door and you can even check in for your flight there www.offairportcheckin.com next to the Old Navy Outlet store.
