Because another poster brought up pollution causing rides, this made me think of this show at Epcots The Land. I saw it for the first time on my last visit, and both my wife and I found it inadvertently hilarious that they do this movie about how Pumba and Timone should not develop an area into a resort because it will hurt the surrounding wildlife and drain the downstream river of valuable water. Anyone else find it odd they have this show considering of where your sitting when you watch it?

While it's somewhat Ironic, I think the message is somewhat different...take care of your natural resources, and don't ruin things down the road for others...

What WDW did was take unused swamp land, for the most part, and actually create the lakes, the rivers, and the roadways around them. They made the entire area MORE attractive and more livable than what was originally there (except for maybe the alligators).

WDW history books have some great photos of how terrible that entire area looked before it was redesigned and landscaped. Even the "forests" that you now see on property were designed and planted/relocated.

You realize this was a negative impact on the environment and water supply for the rest of florida. I mean its a great place but to have a show that encourages the opposite is laughable
