Which Moderate Should I Choose?

What is the Best Moderate Resort and why? I have stayed at POR and CBR and loved them both. I would lean to POR because it is not as large as CBR. I would like to stay at CSR or POFQ, which should I choose? Or, should I stick with CBR or POR? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i like pofq more so than cbr but i live in florida so a beach themed resort just doesn't jump out for me. i have no complaints about cbr just not for me. the best part of pofq is it's size. none of the rooms are far away from the main areas of the resort (food court, bus stop, pool). it's a quite relaxed atmosphere.

CSR is a large resort and is beautiful. The down side at time is as follows:

1) Conventions due occur and sometimes you feel your around bussinessmen and get the feeling you have not gotten away from your office.
2) If the casita's are full then they place you very far away at least for us in the back of the resort which is a good walk to the main build where the food and gift shop are. Now in the AM they do have golf carts that will run you up the the front to the resteraunt and such.

PORFQ is a very small quaint resort. Down side is as follows:

1) If you do not like Mardi Gra theme or the New Orleans experience then this beautiful resort is not for you.

2) They do not have a main resteraunt to eat at like Boat Wrights.

Honestly when it comes to moderate resorts the DWF & I always settle on PORS where we feel very comfortable, love the atmosphere and enjoy the quiet pools in the evening and love renting and driving our own deck boat down to DTD and park it at captain jacks and go and get Milk Shakes from Ghiardelli's and then hop back on the boat back to PORS.

It really depends on the mood your in and your likes for theming and so on. All the moderate resort have good to great things about them. It all comes down to individual preferance

Thanks for your advice. I live in New Orleans, so I have always put POFQ on the back burner. But, It looks beautiful and my kids would love the pools, I think. So, I believe that is the way we are leaning. Thanks so much. You're not so evil.

We really find POR to be beautiful ,as well. I did not know about renting a boat when we stayed there last. We did take the resort boat to DTD, which we enjoyed. You just made me start thinking about staying at POR, as well. Thanks.

I recommend CSR! Besides having a great main pool area, it also has the largest hot tub on WDW property and one of the longest pool slides on WDW property. The pool, slide, arcade and playground are great to have in the same area.

CSR offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price (they also have suites).

The rooms have queen beds, have been recently renovated and are gorgeous. The rooms also have a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room instead of a privacy curtain like the other mods.

CSR has the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has a fitness center, spa, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night club.

CSR has terrific transportation that is not shared with another resort.

You'll definitely want to check out this CSR website below. It helped me with my planning and may help you with your planning.

What Buzz said!

I rank the mods in this order:

CS
POFQ
CB
POR

But for anyone who likes smaller, quieter & less spread out, POFQ is definitely #1.

My answer to the best moderate will probably always be POFQ. I love the size and the pool, and the walk to POR is nice. It's the best of both worlds, plus you have the ferry to DTD too. The POFQ side sells homemade beignets that are amazing - just another reason I like that side better. :)
