Spirit of Aloha - Any changes?

We were thinking of doing this our 1st night, but not if it's the same show it was 3 years ago, which was absolutely terrible (at least the first half.) Is it the same silly storyline where some girl returns to the islands after being on the main land, or did Disney comes to it's senses and return the show to an actual luau?

I think so, but mostly I remember The Fire Guy and the free alcohol.

This is the reason why I haven't been yet. I have heard that the storyline is downright painful and embarassing. I keep hoping that it will be pulled and reworked. Maybe then I will be able to justify spending $65 dollars a ticket... You would think the reduced number of performances would tell them to do something....

Yeah, it's definitely not worth the $65 as it was when we saw it. Not so much because of the food. It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. But the first 3/4 of the show is so boring, and so poorly acted, it's torture to sit through.
