DME and late afternoon arrivals

I know the Magical Express runs til 10pm I believe but was wondering if the buses are quicker to arrive or slower later in the afternoon. We are arriving @ MCO @ 5:55 on 10/22. Also, do you think we'll have our luggage by 8:00 or closer to 9:00?

We have always arrived mid to late morning and it's always NUTS which makes waiting for the DME buses a fairly lenghty ordeal. I'm hoping that there will be less guests arriving then and are wait will be shorter.

Comments....opinions??

I'm not sure on the wait time for the MES  but if you are worried about getting your luggage at a certain time you could always bring it to the resort your self. Our last Trip to WDW our MES yellow tags didn't arrive in the Mail on time, so we had to check our bags and retrieve them from baggage claim then transport them on the MES under the bus. Traveling with a 1 year old I liked having immediate access to our luggage.

We always fly in evenings, the bus line is zero the only thing is that you may have more resort stops until you get to your hotel. One time the 4 of us were the only ones on a bus. As far as luggage it can arrive at your room from an hour after you check in upto 1:00 am

The buses themselves will run at all hours if need be (not many flights arrive after 10pm as it is), but after 10pm guests must claim their own bags.

There really is no formula to how quickly magical express will take. It will all depend on how crowded the area is at the time and how they staffed for the day in order to get the buses moving. I always anticipate about a 15 minute wait at the airport before moving. Then you hope you don't have too many stops on your way.

DME runs past 10pm. The last time we were there, our flight arrived at 12:30 so we really didn't get onto DME until 1am. We kept a few things with us in our carry ons and just picked up our bags in the am. You could always opt to take your bags with you and not have DME bring them to you. You don't have to use that part of the service if you do not want to. It would prob. take a couple of hours for your bags to arrive at your resort. You don't have to wait for it and you could always go to a park and pick it up on your way back on your own. Just communicate with the resort what you'd like.

I would love only a 15 minute wait.
