What beers are at the resort bars?

We just used that site the other day to try to make a Habibi Daquiri...great resource! But the Daquiri was just not the same:cry: I don't know if it's because I had to use Triple Sec instead of orange blossom water or because we were having them at home; not sitting on the bench next to Morroco gazing at Epcot...12 more days :sohappy:

Also Big River Grill @ Boardwalk, if they are anything like in Chattanooga, has some of the best brews that I have found.

Big River Grill is identically to the ones in Chatty. I was eating there at the WDW one saying it was reminded me of the place in Chatty and they said they had locations all over :( Not local anymore...

I know you can buy Yuengling off property at alot of the bars (LBV Ale House stands out to me), but I remember seeing it elsewhere on property.

For me, when I travel I'm always looking for something unique and different. I don't want a beer I can get back home. If you feel adventurous, my favorite WDW beer is found in Morocco. It's called Casa. It's a darker lager and delicious.

WOW!! Thanks for the info. I was just wondering about places to get a beer at the hotel bars by the pool and parks. I don't drink a bunch when we go with the kids, but after they are sleeping.......well you know.
Thanks for all this info. I'll be ready come March.

ardwalk. They had another resturant on the map in a lot of different areas but big river is still local. Also looks like they have a location in nashville now

I know to some this is not an important question and it really will not change my families travel plans to Disney. BUT, I have really fell in love with Yuengling beer and I was wondering if it is still offered there. One year I was there through Oct. 1 (which is when the beer contracts change I guess:shrug:) fiscal year and the beer changed to Yuengling :sohappy:. My wife was not real happy but the kids were not with us, so I had a little more fun. Anyway that beer is not offered in Louisiana so this is the only time to enjoy this. I'm sure someone knows if this is changed or not and I would love to know so I can be more excited or prepared for the let down. I'll be there in March. Thanks a bunch!! And if I posted this in the wrong area, I'm sorry I'll do better next time. Again, thank y'all for the help.

If you want to petition Yuengling to distribute to your state, I know the point person that got it to Georgia. E-mail him at his website:

I just saw this beer option when I was browsing the menu at Kona Cafe! Definitely think I will be trying it if we decide to eat here!

On a side note, we live in PA close to where Yuengling is brewed... I'm not a huge fan of lagers, but the rest of my family is! They will be happy to know Yuengling is served in WDW property. We're heading back down in August!

August is a great time to enjoy a cold beer. It gives a reprieve from the heat. Have fun :-)

Yuengling is alright. It's better than Bud and stuff, but if you consider Yuengling a great beer, then you're really missing out.

Oh, thought I'd add, that I believe they have Moretti La Rossa at Via Napoli and Tutto Italia. Don't get regular Moretti, La Rossa is the good one :).

The company that owns Big River also owns the Rock Bottom and Gordon Biersch breweries/restaurants. I haven't been to the other to, but the server at WDW told me that they have all basically become the same. I can't confirm this cause I haven't been to the others.

What is this bar you speak of? Is this like a full-on lounge? I was under the assumption that the only bar in DHS was the Tune-In Lounge.

Is that the small outdoor bar with the stop light margaritas and hard liquor drinks?

It is called the Backlot Cantina and it located accross from the entrance to the Backlot Tour. It is a relatively small full service bar, but worth a stop if you are thirsty. It is also a lot easier to get a drink at than the Tune-in lounge. With all the people waiting to be seated for the Prime TIme there is no room to sit at the bar in the Tune-In and sometimes almost impossible just to get in the door.

I've had this one too, it is really good!

Another beer I like that i've found in AK is safari ale I think it's called. I have had it a couple times at the yak and yeti. I love beer! :sohappy:

I have not had that one. I do enjoy ales too. I will have to try it next time we go down to the World. Thanks!

I think Yuengling stacks up favorably and is a very drinkable lager. It is not my favorite beer by a long shot. But it is still quite good. I am curious, what is your beer of choice?

Thanks flavious27, I will check this person out. Louisiana has a local beer company called Abita Beer. Some of yall seen this at one of the food and wine festivals. I think Disney still has Abita Turbo Dog beer. The Abita Amber beer is is not Yuengling but will have to do until we get Yuengling. Again thanks for all the replys. I'm loving this tread.

Yueng lager is the best go to beer, though it isn't what you would drink in a tasting event, their Bock and Black&Tan fulfill that role.

World Stout and 120 minute ipa from dogfish head are great, though I doubt either are served on property.

Check out this webpage. Excellent source of information.

Good link, thanks for sharing.

Here is a link that lists some of the resort offerings as well.

http://www.lily.org/wdw_beer.html

Something of note: the draught Moosehead can only be obtained at WDW or Canada. You can get it not only at Le Cellier, but at the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge.

Also the Key West Sunset Ale at Olivia's (OKW) is really good.

I am not a fan of Gorden Biersh beers, so I don't visit the Big River Brewing Company on the Boardwalk.

Yeah, the Safari Lager at AK is not bad.

Yeah, the Safari Lager at AK is not bad.

Last time I was at the trout pass pool bar over at WL They had Red Hook ESB (Extra Special Bitter) it Is not quite an IPA level of bitterness, but still ever so tasty.

Yuengling?

Possibly one of the worst beers ever made, I would rather drink a beer from the UK or China, with a bucketload on salt poured into it.

While I do fancy a local micro-brew now and then, nothing beats an ice cold Miller. Of course being from Milwaukee clouds my judgement, but its still the best beer ever created.

Jimmy Thick- I never drank nothin' that wasn't made in the USA...

Miller!? Best beer ever created!? :ROFLOL:

I understand were your coming from. Though I have seen companies bring products that are inferior to yuengling to tasting events. I am and IPA nut. I prefer dog fish 90 min over the 120. I love Bells two hearted ale. Lets face It. Beer is just great.
