TIW at counter service

O.K., I have read several threads about the TIW card and am considering it. One question I have, though, is:
Do they automatically add on the 18% gratuity at the counter service/resort food court places as well?

No, there is no gratuity for the counter service restaurants.

But there are very few counter service places that take TIW. It's meant to be a Table Service discount. Be sure to check the list of participating locations before you make the decision.

TiW is accepted at CS restaurants where there are no TS restaurants that take it. AK, value resorts and POFQ are the only ones that come to mind...

One other "wacky" think about TIW.

Not all bar locations take it. Maybe of the pool bars do not. Some do, some don't.

For example the bar at Jambo House pool does not. The bar at Caribbean Beach pool does.

I have been told by CM's that it has to do with the ability to swipe a card or not. Take that for what it's worth.

Artists Palette at Saratoga Springs also accepts it. But thats it for CS beyond the ones MontyMon already mentioned. And Yak & Yeti CS doesn't take it to the best of my knowledge, but the other AK choices do.
