Tickets - Adding Days while at the World

Potentially spending a weekend at WDW July 29 - 31. Not sure if we're going to be at a park on either the 29th or the 31st. It'll depend on DD. If I were to book a 2 night, 3-day trip with one day ticket, is it possible to upgrade to two days at any time during our stay and pay the difference to a two day ticket, or would I have to buy a separate, one day ticket?

What mousefan1972 wrote is absolutely correct.

However, in your exact situation, I wouldn't get too excited about it. A 1-day ticket costs $79. Upgrading to a 2-day ticket will cost an additional $77 ... meaning you'll save only $2 per ticket by upgrading as opposed to buying a separate 1-day ticket.

The good discounts don't kick-in until you get to a larger ticket. A third day costs $63. A fourth day costs $6. And the fifth through tenth days cost $3 each.
