I know I'm going to sound lazy, but why doesn't Disney make the TTA go around the entire park?
It's easier than walking the whole way.
Any comments?

the bitter side of me would say 'the park is not that big, and most north americans sould use some extra walking'

the guest relations side of me would say 'for your comfort and enjoyment, please feel free to experience the Walt Disney World Rail Road, with stops at Main St USA, Frontierland, and Mickey's Toowntown, to help you move about the park'

A nice pipe dream, but for many reasons it doesn't....there's already the train which goes around the outside of much of the park, it definitely wouldn't fit the themes of most of the lands, and it would be really expensive.

Other than the Peoplemover at DL and TTA at WDW, none of the other Disney parks ever had one installed...probably due to cost I would guess.

Oh dear... if you're really that lazy, or unfit to not be able to walk round the Magic Kingdom either get fitter or rent and ECV and feel the wrath.

One was planned for Communicore, but was never built. Probably due to cost and lack of guest demand.

Right, and while to fit with what Walt wanted in Epcot (city), in a way I wished it would have happened, but honestly I don't think it would have really been that useful, communicore's buildings aren't THAT far apart...if there was a way to take one from near the front of the park, and get to maybe some kind of hidden track near the World showcase, that would have been more useful.

No, I don't know HOW you could hide a peoplemover track in the World Showcase, just saying....

This post is sad beyond reasoning.

Hey...at least it's not another monorail question asking about expansion.

Why would it need to be hidden? Sometimes the best theming is no theming at all.

It would be a unifying theme for all the countries...SOoooo Epcot.

Not a PeopleMover track but something else might fit in...and might be in the future. :animwink:

That plan may happen, but there will have to be a huge shakeup in management before it gets greenlit. I'd say it'll happen around the park's 35th anniversary.

How cool would a World Showcase 'subway' be? Model the stations after stations around the world. The "T" in Boston, Tokyo Station (or Akihabara), the Tube in London (Mind the Gap!).

Would that be possible? I know when they built the MK, the utilidors were constructed at ground level and the park built on top of them. I don't think the WS has any utilidors, so wouldn't that mean that it's constructed at ground level? If so, I'm pretty sure the water table here in Florida is too high to allow for the construction of a true subway.

I wouldn't mind an extension behind the countries where it was like a TTA but it was like you were flying over the countries and when you looked over the side of your car you could see the countries down below with there most popular city and attraction or what not in a miniature type of state. Then as a removable but nice touch for the franchise they could throw in Carl, Russel, and Doug little animatronics with phrases and stuff that were sort of comedic. I think that would be fun. There were stops at every country but it didn't stop, it just moved, slowly though.

It would have to be an above ground subway.

I do like the idea!
