Night of Joy question

A few of my friends and I booked our trip to Walt Disney World. It happens to co-incide with the Night of Joy party. We didnt know this when we booked. My question is-even though its a ticketed event, should we be concerned that during the day at the parks that we might see preaching on the corners, protesting against abortion, judgemental behavior in public, ect....eeks!

Thanks friends, Rally together and let me know what you think.

I have never attended during a Night of Joy event or in proximity to it. However, I've never heard any compliants here on the boards regarding behavior during that time (unlike, say, cheerleaders or tour groups).

I don't believe the behaviors you described would be tolerated by Disney, regardless of their affliation.

Night of Joy is pretty benign as far as faith based gatherings go so you should not experience any of that. I doubt Fred Phelps and his cohorts will be making an appearance and if he did he would be removed from the premises rather quickly.

Isn't night of joy the night that everyone tries to avoid because of all the same color shirts and public displays of affection?

Uhm, Im sure you will survive either way. I've been to one, and the real christian events take place when the party actually starts and the park closes. You could simply avoid the park if you're that afraid of getting preached to and or hearing something that may actually help you. Just like I could easily avoid the parks if I ever was down there during gay days, and miss out on seeing a whole new world and possibly learning to not be so ignorant.
