18 percent gratuity added?

We've done the dining plan many times before but usually when it's just my family of 4.

This year we're going to be having dinner with my in laws a couple of nights.
They're doing the dining plan but they're not on our dining plan -
How do they work the "18% gratuity automatically added to parties of 6 or more"

If there are six at the table they will add 18%. No matter how you split up the bills.

How do they charge it though? If we're on the dining plan and we're using our KTTW will they automatically charge it back or give us the option to pay cash?

It'll be on the bill. If you pay cash, make sure you indicate on the credit slip you sign that you have done so. Otherwise you might get dinged for it twice.
