You know, this whole thing is so frustrating... I have a suggestion for WDW Management.

Put in Webcams in ALL the parks. CHARGE me an annual fee - I'll pay you. Really - I would find the service worth paying for.

They had them. They were taken out because they could be used by people to count the number of guests entering the park. This could be detrimental to the company's stock price, so they were removed.

... to be fair, there were a number of reasons... all of which smelled like someone let out a ginormous chili dog burp....

Knowing the number of guests is the only one that matters. The rest of the reasons boil down to pretty much exactly what you said.
