If I am not mistaken Yanni's "running man" was used in the BGM at WOL and "Nostalgia" was used for the opening of Epcot during the Millennium Celebration. I have also heard several of his tracks in the BGM on the cruise ships.

Actually, from what I have, "Forgotten Yesterdays" and "Looking Glass" were from the WoL BGM. Disney Music Loops should have more info. :)

I never knew of "Nostalgia" as part of EPCOT during the Millennium Celebration.
In fact, I don't even know the BGM of DCL, being that I never boarded the ships for any cruise at all. :o

You are correct . Running Time and looking glass are very similar and I always mix those up. Nostalgia was used during the park opening celebration which IMHO was the best park opening every done at WDW. It was in the background of a speech done by Walt.

I so did not know that! I'll have to look that song up to see whether I recognize it or not. :wave:

I'll have to give Martin a ring.
If anyone has it...It's him.
Is THIS the song "Nostalgia" used at the Millennium Celebration's opening ceremony? It sounds so familiar!

And can anyone clarify the park opening celebration for the Millennium Celebration was every day or just a once a lifetime opportunity?

MasterYoda: "Running Time" DOES sound like "Looking Glass"! :) Interesting...

Sounds nice. Familiar, I agree.

The Opening Day/Ceremonies only happen on the first day, October 1st. But the rest of the events were around for the whole Celebration.

I am about 90% sure that was it. The portion of the piece that was used would have been when the tempo changed at about 2:40 into the song. But then again I might be wrong. One thing that Yanni has always seemd to do is rearrange his music and then change the title. Butterfly dance and Marching Season is a great example of this. Because he does that it makes it real easy to mix his pieces up especially when you are only listening to a 30 second clip of one.

The opening ceremony was done every day for around 1 to 2 years. Great message , great music....it had it all. It was simply pure Epcot.

Wait...The Park Opening Ceremony? Or the CELEBRATION Opening Ceremony?

Which is which?:lol::o
