Sheraton Vistana presentation?

I have a 1 night reservation at the Sheraton Vistana at LBV and wanted to know about this timeshare presentation I keep hearing about. I've heard they're very pushy. Does anyone have any experience with this? I booked a 2 bedroom suite months ago on dreamsunlimitedtravel.com for a really good rate. Am I going to have to sit through this even if I decline and plan on checking out early the next morning?

Thanks for the help.

If you paid for the room, you are not obligated to attend the presentation. When we stayed there two years ago, swapping a week at Orange Lake because they didn't have room, I seem to remember them giving us a $50 incentive to attend. There may have been more perks too. If you take the $50 and don't attend they add it to your bill though. But, if they're giving you the room for free, then attendance is manditory.

The presentation was what we expected, but we were able to turn them down. We already have a week at Orange lake and always have time banked. Their program did sound nice. I don't know that they were insanely pushy, of course they aren't like DVC who basically don't seem to care if you buy or not because "we're Disney" we were repeatedly told.

First, I'd like to say "hello neighbor." We live in Joliet. As for the presentations, my brother got roped into buying a timeshare from them back in 2006. They tell you it is 90 minutes long and they give you a free breakfast plus a certificate to use at any Sheraton property for 3 free nights. My brother wanted me to go with, but I declined. Anyhow, the breakfast was donuts and coffee. Then they took my brother and his wife on a little bus, far from where they parked. The 90 minute presentation turned to over 3 hours. It is very high pressure. My brother ended up buying from them. $18K to buy plus $800 yearly for up keep.
The thing is, they cannot make you attend. I found that if you just say "no" they tend to leave you alone. Except for the telephone messages they leave on your villa phone. But my brother is the kind of guy who says to them, "Sounds great....only 90 minutes....sure I'll attend." They knew they had him before he even sat down with them.
For me, I have much more important things to do when I am in Florida. Just say no.
