Southwest Suggestions

When you check in online do you just check your bags at the airport? Sorry, I’ve flown hundreds of times and never checked in online.

This will be the first time we are using DME to return to the airport. Previously we would depart from Portofino Bay in Universal and get transporation from there. They would also print out our boarding passes, which I then assume we would be checked in?

I am staying at Coronado Springs this December. Will anyone there be able to print boarding passes out for me? I know I can check in online on my phone since it has Internet, but if I can avoid printing out the passes at the airport that would be great.

Can anyone tell me step by step what to do? My dad usually took care of this stuff and he recently passed away so it is just my mom, brother and I. We were planning to go in August but he was too sick. We decided to go for the holidays because we always talked about doing it sometime and we thought he would want us to go.

We are flying Southwest. It will be 3 adults. We want to check in early and as quickly and painless as possible so we can get in A.

If I am wrong correct me...a day before departure, DME will give us a time to depart. On the day of departure we check out and our hotel can hold our bags in storage until we leave on DME. Then they will be loaded on the bus and we get them when we are off and check them our selves since SW isn't partnered.

As for the boarding passes/check in where and when should I do this???

If anyone out there can give me a step by step I would greatly appreciate it. You can post here or PM if you can help me.

Thank you in advance!

All you have to do is ask at the front desk, and they will print them out for you. It has to be within 24 hours of your flight, and you'll need to have your confirmation number. I have heard that Guest Relations at any of the parks will do this too, but I have never tried that.

Ok, thank you!!!

If I was on a participating airline then DME could print out the passes plus take care of the luggage right? Is that the only drawback from not being on a partnered airline?

Well, it's actually called resort check-in, but you'd still go on the DME bus. But you're correct - they would handle your luggage for you.
