Pirates of the Caribbean Beach Resort

Interestingly enough, Jim Hill mentioned this concept in his recent article about the new Nemo decor being installed at all other CBR rooms. Although he said that the concept was for PotC-themed family suites (it doesn't look that way based on the art), he was correct about the PotC theming in the Trinidad South section.

I like this idea. I'm happy that Disney has decided to keep this theming in a small number of rooms, because I don't think the entire hotel needs to be invaded by pirates.

In the picture provided, if you blow it up it looks like a suite, the drawing shows curtains and beyond the curtains does not look like a window, it looks like a hallway....

That is just adorable. Forget the kids I want that room.

The Caribbean Beach has always been my favorite, looks like I'm going back once this is complete.

Yes, that is the bathroom area. I wonder how they will theme that?:lookaroun:lol:

A rum barrel? :ROFLOL:

Okay, I am a huge POTC fan, so like it's already been mentioned, forget the kids, I'll stay there. I do like how they have only selected a few rooms for this treatment, because even though I am a huge fan of immersive themes - I know not everyone else is. I cannot wait to see how they look when the renovation is complete.

Long standing question answered!?

Note from the article, "... plus a refillable drink mug for unlimited refills of non-alcoholic beverages at Disney resort hotels".

Doesn't this finally answer the question of legality about using mugs at ALL resort drink stations? :slurp:

I wonder how many parents would have to switch rooms halfway through their trip because their kids are having nightmares from that skull and cross bones staring at them at night!

I don't understand. Are they changing the dining plan as well to only 2 counter service meals??

It looks like they are adding 2 CS meals and 2 snacks and mugs to each package bought.
We used to get Flex features (gifts you could pick out for "free" at the gift shops in the hotel).

Not necessarily. Since it will be part of the package, the mug may be resort specific and still be labeled "for duration of this stay only". This only means that those who buy a package will no longer have to buy the mugs, they are now free.

I think you are reading this BLOG POST too literally - I highly doubt that they are including 2 meals per person per night and 2 snacks per person per night in every MYW package for 365 days at every Disney onsite resort.

Flex features are still included - they are now called rounds of miniature golf and coupons for Sea Raycers....

I just saw your post in the other thread and left the same answer there.
That is the way it reads and the only way we will get at definite answer is when Disney makes their formal announcement.

We always buy a package so I know what is included, but the flex features were always a decent gift like a watch (we have 4) or a Disney clock (we have 2) or a framed lithograph (we have a bunch of those). Free mini golf and sea racyers can't compare.

I thought Disney was adding another dining plan option that was less expensive than the current one. It would be similar to the deluxe dinning plan just in the opposite direction. I guess it could be termed as the Value dining plan.

I see this type of dining plan competing against Universal's eat all day thing that they have and it also is aimed at the many people who don't like doing sit down meals because they take too much park time away from them or don't want to plan them. So, I see this as a cheaper alternative to the current DDP and deluxe DDP, as well as giving people freedom from having to plan sit down meals, just have CS and go. I think Universal's plan is $19.99, so would think Disney's would be about the same or a little more if they are going to charge for it.
