It's coming along nicely.

Anyone know if there are plans to add a special walkway from Kidani to Jambo House (perhaps similar to what they're doing with Contemporary)?

When I went to a DVC Open House to check out the new rooms, the cast member working there said they might be considering it, even though one doesn't show up in the concept art. Those buildings seem to far way if you were to walk all the way around. Hopefully there would be a reasonably quick without moving your car.

And I would assume Kidani Village will be getting their own bus stop, right?

I believe there will be some sort of covered or connected walk as the DVC literature implies that Kidani is an extension to AK. That is, on the DVC Member site, under Dining for example, restaurants from both are listed. Essentially, they're treating the village much like they do Wilderness Lodge Villas in that it is an extension to the main resort. However, due to size and popularity, they are adding the Jambo House with dining, pool, more savanah, etc. I'd say, you can't treat the both resort areas (Kidani & AKL) as one without easy access. :veryconfu

Also, as a side note regarding the question "Are they on schedule?".This is posted on the DVC Member site:
"Members who call Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas "home" may call Member Services beginning on Aug. 10, 2008, to make vacation reservations for stays beginning on May 1, 2009, at the resort's Kidani Village accommodations, pictured above under construction. Those reservations become available to all Members within the 7-month booking window. "

We stayed on the sunset savannah while we were there and it seems like they are giving the entire resort a nice touch up. They were doing a lot of painting on the existing lodge on top of the construction on the new buildings. It was comical watching them drive the machines through the savannah and having an occasional animal try racing after it. They had CM's out there keeping a close eye on the construction workers and the animals. The funniest thing i saw was one of them get up close to a ostrich and snap a quick pic with his cell phone camera.
