Co-Workers Bothering Me About Indy

My non-Disney co-workers think that Disney needs an Indiana Jones-themed restaurant.

I'm not sure why one doesn't exist, as it would probably be kinda cool.

Just wanted to get some thoughts on this one, becasue it is the first Disney-related question I haven't had an answer for in quite awhile!

They don't have a Star Wars one or many of the franchises, so why Indy?

I'd rather see them create new experiences than rehash old ones, but that's just me.

that would be cool , a star wars one,
but i think the soap opera one would be the best, it fits with the hollywood theme

I really like the idea. TDS has some restaurants while not directly themed to Indy, do have atmosphere that could be similar to such a resterant. Here are some examples with pics of those resteraunts:

Cool huh? I do like the idea of serving monkey brains though.

At DHS they could turn the '50's Prime Time Cafe into an Indy themed restaurant.
It's current theme is past its prime.

IMHO, of course.

No! I love the 50s prime time cafe. Its one of Disney's best restaurants.:(

Forgive me, but I don't see how Indy would be a better restaurant idea than any other movie in existence... there's not much you could base a restaurant on with Indy without being played-out.

Bring on the Nostromo Bar & Grill with Chestburster-burgers. :lookaroun

Let me begin by saying that I am in NO WAY trying to be rude here....

I was just wondering....how do you feel that Soap Opera's are more of a fit with a Hollywood theme than either Star Wars or Indy? Just curious....

And as I said, not trying to be rude, so please don't take offense...

It sounds cool on paper, but i really dont think it would work. You would be surprised about how many people are extremely picky about their food, even if the names sound weird. I mean what kind of food is associated with Indiana jones? its baby snakes, monkey brains, and Beatles. I mean theres a small amount of people who would LOVE weird food items (even if they aren't real), but it just wouldn't be a money maker in my opinion. many people are not adventurous eaters. I am the opposite, I love trying new foods. But than again, my dads a missionary, im exposed to all sorts of weird foods.

Is there some kind of rule that one restaurant has to close for another one to open? Don't change Scifi or Prime Time. And I agree with one of the previous posters, I would rather see Disney create new experiences.

OK. Suppose we do this -

We find a nice bench, somewhere near the Indy attraction in the DHS park, maybe under a tree.
We paint it in desert camouflage colors.
People can sit on the bench while they eat stuff from the cart next to it.
The cart sells sugar-coated dates and Indy themed gummi bears called 'Melted Nazis'.

Huh, huh?
:)

Surely you mean beetles. Indy never tried to eat George, John, Ringo and Paul!

On topic, I still don't believe that Indy deserves a restaurant (an attraction, yes) when it hardly ever touches upon food or features restaurants. I can understand a Star Wars-themed Cantina, but no Indy.
