We have used ME before so I know how it works, but my question is.. we are arriving late the first night of our vacation and for that night we booked a room only rate. Our "pkg" starts the next morning. Will ME still pick us up the night we arrive?? I didnt give it a thought when booking it as a room rate only. Worried now that I messed up!

As far as I know, DME works separately from a package and will drop you off and pick you up for whatever days you make your DME reservations for.

A lot of people will split their stay at different resorts. I'm assuming they're fine with DME dropping them off at one resort and picking them up at another, so this seems like it would work the same way.

we're not changing resorts at all, still staying at the same one, I just didnt know if they would only transport us to the resort from the airport the night we arrive cause technically the "pkg" doesn't start until the next day. I have 2 seperate reservations, one for the first night, and then one for the next 7 days.

It doesn't matter whether your reservation is a package or a room-only. DME can be used for both.

The one thing to keep in mind is that when you give DME your flight info, make sure to associate your arrival information with your FIRST reservation, and your departure information with your SECOND reservation.
And if you happen to get DME documents and luggage tags for your second reservation, throw them out! Otherwise, if you arrive in Orlando with the wrong documents and incorrect luggage tags, you may have problems because the system will say you're a day early.

And speaking of the luggage tags, you mentioned that you're arriving late at night. I don't know how late "late" is for you, but if it's after 9PM you may want to consider not using the luggage tags and picking your bags up yourself to bring on the bus. It can take a few hours once you check in to get your tagged lugagge. Alternatively, you can tell Bell Services to hold your bags overnight and deliver them in the morning.
