Did I tell ya'll that the school is holding my youngest DD back in the 4th grade. Between her grades, TAKS scores, and moving to a new school, they are thinking she will do better in the long run.

I know that's what you felt was best, so I'm glad it went that way.

How does your DD feel about that Susan?

When I talked to her a couple of weeks back she agreed with it. Then last week she told me she wanted to pass. I told her the decision was most likely already made. She said okay. Then when I told her what the decision was she really got angry with me but she calm down and she is more or less okay with it now. I told her that she might have the best teacher ever at this new school.

That was a good idea Susan. Do you know who her teacher will be?

But many more talk about doing it and don't.
The spend their lifetimes talking and not doing.
You're a doer.

:o It's something that interests me.

Although, I never would have found out about the CP if I hadn't gone to Montclair (well, I guess I may have, but there's no way to know that).

Tell her she has a chance to start fresh.
Tell her you believe that she can do better and she should believe it too.

No not yet. I don't know if any of the 4th grade teachers from this school will be moving over besides the one she has now. Plus they won't tell you now anyway.
You might want to check with her teacher this year to see if it would be possible to arrange a meeting over the summer with the new teacher. Given the problems she's had this year, they might be able to do something for her.

I told her she knows the work now she just needs to do it and prove to everyone that she does know it. She can make better grades now. I am being upbeat about it all so she won't get discouraged about it.

This is cool.
Look at this pic of Einstein, then look at it again from about 15 feet away.
