getting from DTD to Wilderness Lodge

How long does it take to get to Wilderness Lodge from DTD? We have ADR's at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 6:10 and need to know when to leave DTD to get there in time.

By car, at most 10 minutes.

West up North Buena Vista Drive.
Turn Right into Bonnet Creek Parkway (at the OKW "hut")
All the way up Bonnet Creek Parkway past POFR & POR.
Left at the traffic lights at the "T" junction into Vista Boulevard.
West along Vista Boulevard past Fort Wilderness.
Right onto World Drive following the Monorail,
Then right at the sign for Wilderness Lodge...

..and Robert is your Mother's brother.

I wish I could tell you exactly how much time, but for some reason I don't pay a lot of attention to time when we are at WDW:) My best guess would be about 20 minutes. Also give yourself some time for waiting for the bus. Sometimes that seems like 20 minutes too. To be on the safe side, you could allow an hour and then you can explore the lobby and/or courtyard if you have time to kill.

My guess would be allowing at least a half hour. Even if you're a little early,- i know my family loves walking around WL. You never really know how long it'll take the bus to pick you up so better to be on the safe side and allow some extra time.

As a general rule of thumb I would plan for 1 hour to get anywhere using Disney bus transportation. This will account for wait time for the bus, traffic (which is notoriously bad around DTD) and the possibility of multiple stops. Sure, if you catch it just right it might only take 20 minutes but I have found it is best to plan for the worst and hope for the best. The worst that will happen is you will have about 30 minutes to explore one of the most beautiful resorts on property.

I was going to say the same thing. We always have our car so we drive from the WL to DTD to avoid using the bus which just never seems to come when trying to get back.

I'd agree with an hour. I can't remember if the bus stopped at FW first coming back from DTD. In the same vein, I know when we had 5:00 ADR's at Chef Mickey's we left DTD around 4 and got there right on time. :D

Exactly. I can't tell you how many times I've had to wait a while for a bus from DD to arrive at the WL. It takes time.

I remember it took FOREVER to get to the WL. I think on the trip to DTD we stopped at FW, so it wouldn't be on the trip from DTD to the WL. However, we got on the bus at Marketplace, and so there was an added stop at PI. It was one of the longer bus rides for sure.
