Its been a while since I last loooked at it but it looks as if they made most of it darker and highlighted mickey with a brighter gold color. I think it used to be all the same and was a kinda bronze color.

I think it looks good like that. Different, but good. It stands out more. It reminds me of the pics that are black and white with a bit of color...sepea, I think it is called. Like it lots.

I'm very protective of Mickey, he's my all time favorite character, and I'm not so sure I like the new look. Maybe I'll feel differently when I see it in person...IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!

Could this be in honor if Mickey's eightieth birthday?

Saw Kevin's article and thought yuck! Didn't even mention it here due to all of the great pictures in the past I've seen here the old way. I really don't like it.

Hm. I guess it looks alright, but I would prefer to see the entire statue the same color, either all gold or all bronze. I just don't like how selected areas of Mickey stand out from the rest of the statue.

I was actually thinking of buying a copy of this statue that I saw at Art of Disney.

Hope they dont change the small statues that where for sale.

That's funny. I don't like it this way, but I'm definitely one of those people who resist change. The way it is now is distracting to me. I find myself not even looking at Walt. I have one of the 12 inch versions of this statue at home and love the way it looks. Maybe they'll change it back after a while.
