Magic Dorks

What I found with both our kids once they hit junior high was that they met kids who were much more like themselves, so even though they were still considered dorks or geeks or whatever, they had friends in the same boat, so that helped them out a lot.

My girls went to Catholic grade school, so they didn't change schools again till high school. They both went to the same school (an all-girl public high school) and, even though their personalities are totally different, they both found their niches.

Totally OT, but it's Primary Day here tomorrow. I'm soooooo sick of the political ads already!!!!!!!
Me too. Ours is tomorrow also. I already voted.

Finally caught up....would like an opinion. Abby came home Friday in tears because a boy in her class was yelling at her for messing up a project they were working on. Which she wasn't, but he wanted things done his way and thought he could do it better.
Now I know she's ten, which is a charming pre-adolescent age , and she will run into little _____ _ s her whole life. She has to learn how to handle things and all that. But this brat does this all the time...calls her stupid, she can't do anything right, and as far as I'm concerned bullies her. Should I e-mail the teacher about this? Abby's self-esteem has really taken a hit here.
Email or talk to the teacher. My oldest started pulling her hair out again this yr because someone was picking on her. I talked to the couselor. Told DD to talk to the teacher, if that didn't work go to the couselor herself, if that didn't work WE would go to the principle. The kid stopped picking on her and her hair is growing back.:sohappy:

Good morning.

Hi Susan!

I've got to run too - the house is a big disaster, so I have to go tackle the kitchen at least!

Talk to you all later!

I'm good, busy....

but I'm going to Aruba on Saturday so I can't really complain!!

How bout you?

I am trying to keep myself occupied. I'm sick and had to miss school today. A girl can only watch so much daytime tv before she goes crazy. :p

Aruba, that sounds like so much fun! Is it for business or just a vacation?

Good morning.

Hi Susan! Tomorrow is levy vote day here - that's more important to me than getting those stupid automated calls from Hillary. :brick::brick::brick:

I just e-mailed the teacher, so we'll see. I signed it from both of us, so I'm hoping she'll take it more seriously if we present a united front.

vacation. My folks have a timeshare down there so I'm going with them for the week...

So, I only am paying airfare, which unfortunately is pretty expensive; but still spending a week down there for real cheap; so i offered to pay for my gf's airfare if she came... she didn't wanna take the time off from work though... kinda annoyed at her about that...

but i know what you mean; I've called in sick to work twice and I've been so bored at home...

which is very weird because i formed my schedule at school so i'd have 4 day weekends, and all the free time in the world... not as exciting when you're calling in sick to work though i guess...

(incase you can't tell i graduate college last May and I'm still EXTREMELY bitter to be out in the real world....)
