I wish that would have worked with one of my friends and me. I haven't talked to her in almost 30 yrs. We have a freind in common now but she won't give me her number to get in touch with her.
That's a bummer. It shouldn't be up to that friend. It should be up to you and the other girl. If she wants to talk to you, then that's her choice, but it shouldn't be the other friend's choice for you two.

I've had two or three friendships in the past, that looking back now, weren't really what I would call 'true' friendships. You can disagree with someone but still remain friends; however, our 'friendship' quickly dissolved under duress. I have learned a lot from those relationships however, I am much more cautious about friendship and how I approach it. And I hope I have matured from the experience. Sometimes I have to remind myself to let it go, as I can work up into a tizzy again upon reflection...but in the end, it was best to just move on with my life.

I understand what you're saying. :D

And that's kinda how it is with my friends and I...we disagree and fight and complain about each other...but for the most part, I think we all still love each other deep down. It's just getting back to those loving feelings that are sometimes so hard. Realizing we were friends for a reason and just b/c we got in a stupid fight and that person has changed, doesn't mean that there isn't something still there.
