Its great! No laptop for me...its an Inspiron 530 with a nice big flat screen monitor. 500 gig of memory, DVD burner...the works.
We ended up having to get a new modem because of Vista...it (the dsl modem) has to run thru ethernet not USB so we got a wireless modem/router so no more Linksys and the girl's laptops are back on the network. The only problem I have to solve is that the internet cuts out when the phone rings...there has to be another configuration of all these wires, but we haven't figure it out yet. :lol: There just doesn't seem to be enough ports. :shrug:

oh Mad! I know your problem! It happened at work and we couldn't figure out why. But it seems you've at least figured out the source. There are these filters that should have come with your modem. (If they didn't, you may need to call the phone company and tell them you didn't recieve them.) Then put them on your phone lines and you should be fine.Its great!
