Even though this is just a rumor..I'd like to say right now that whomever these "Local" sources are on screamscape better be wrong...:mad:

2009/2010 - Tomorrowland Update - Rumor - (12/4/07) A local source ended up having an interesting conversation the other day at the Magic Kingdom with a CM who apparently mentioned that Disney may be working on plans to add attractions themed to Meet the Robinsons and Incredibles into Tomorrowland. As I stated a few years ago, Disney’s intention for Tomorrowland from now on is to make it a SciFi version of Fantasyland, filling it with various attractions based on their films. No more details were given about how these characters may be added into Tomorrowland, but given that there is an Incredibles themed version of the PeopleMover rumored for Disneyland, I can only imagine that the same concept may be under consideration for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It would be perfect timing to convert the TTA into IncrediPods during the rumored year-long closure of Space Mountain (2008 to 2009) since they wont be able to run it anyway. If true, the concept would add new four-seat semi-enclosed pod shaped vehicles to the track, with a controller to allow the riders to spin the pod in any direction they choose, similar to how you control your car on Buzz Lightyear. As for Meet The Robinsons… an attraction could take any possible shape I would guess, though I can’t help but think that this could be a great theme to take-over the Carousel of Progress attraction.

You cannot ruin one of the Best rides in Tommorowland..And frankly I'd rather not see lines for the TTA thank you..

I love the TTA, but in all honesty I would not mind an update like this. The pods in the movie looked incredible, and if they can make a ride anywhere near that, then I'm all for it.

Ahh space mountain wont be closed in february 2008 will it? And i agree leave the TTA as it is i love that "now approaching..."

I love the open cars even when it is chilly outside. It is my favorite ride in Tomorrowland and I think it would STINK if they changed it. I am usually all for updates and refurbs, but not here. I even hope they find a way to keep it moving while they redo Space Mtn.

I just hope that if it really is going to close for an undisclosed amount of time that it is still open in Feb '08 so I can get another ride on my favorite.

In the end if they are going to close any ride for and Incredibles or Robinsons refurb it should be the Indy Speedway. Do something about those stinky cars and the fact that you wait in line FOREVER for a short, slow and really boring ride. At the very least rename it Indy SLOWway.

In light of past comments, I understand why you wouldn't be surprised. But this doesn't mean you know something else about this particular rumor, does it?

I sure hope none of this happens in Tomorrowland. The TTA is fine as it is...a few updates to make the ride itself more interesting might be nice, but a redo of the cars isn't really necessary. Besides, half the fun is being able to see Tomorrowland from above. In an enclosed car, you'd lose that open-air "hey I'm riding high over the Park" feeling. Let The Incredibles be incredible somewhere else...like Pixar Place. An Incredo-pod dark ride over there could be nice. Tomorrowland can be much more than just an annex to Fantasyland.

If this rumor really came from your average CM, who knows what's true. They don't know much more than we do.

Wow, just wow. Well I can see them adding that to DL because they got rid of there people mover years ago, so for them to get it thats cool. But why would or should WDW get it? I mean, they got the indy ride the subs and we didnt, and those or good ride. What Im saying is, if this does come to pass, and SM is changed to something like Rockin rollercoaster with a space theme, then Ill def. not be going to WDW as often if at all anymore.

The nice thing about that ride is you don't wait!! If they slow things down, then that take away the whole point! It is nice to have one ride that it just keeps going! NO!

Hmm changing the TTA... I don't know. At first glance I hate the idea, but on the other hand if they didn't theme it out too crazily then it would be ok, especially if you could rotate the cars. The only thing I see a problem with it is that how would they allow us to turn around in the cars since the TTA does pick up some speed at certain spots (IE leaving Space Mountain). As for them keeping this ride open during SM renovations.. I guess it would be possible. If you look at this shot. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=28.41908,-81.577456&spn=0.001392,0.002924&t=h&z=19&om=1 the TTA goes into SM into the middle then cuts to the back of SM and goes through the southern most part of SM right? That leaves the entire northern part (including the area near that bridge) open for a crane to do it's work. Just a thought..

The thing with the Incredi-Pods idea was that the rumor originated as a way to come up with a solution to the problem of keeping guests safe while riding in the smaller, enclosed tunnels the old People Mover track that went through in Disneyland's Tomorrowland that are no longer considered okay by current safety standards.

It seems to me that this time, this story could be a case where the Cast Member was reading the original rumor on Screamscape, mistaked it as a rumor for WDW, talked to the source, and now Screamscape is "re-reporting" its own rumor.

Although, anything could happen, so I'm not sure. But like I said before, I can see it going in Disneyland, but not in WDW so much.
