What kind of rides would you like to see? what kind of themes would you like to see included? what should be essential to the 5th park? where should the park even go? Basically what would you like to see in the new park?

Yeah. I agree with that. Are they planning on making a 5th gate??

Not really. If they are it won't be for a LONG time.

As for fifth gate... DisneySea is cool, but I'd also like it if they reincarnated Disney's America and freshened the idea up a bit. With the esceotion of the Magic Kingdom, WDW's theme parks have always been original ideas tha were later cloned elsewhere. While it'd be great to have DisneySea in the US, I'd rather see WDW get something more original and not built anywhere else.

I'd guess that the fifth gate would eventually go over near the Western Beltway thing. And I'm hoping for dark rides, dark rides, dark rides, too.

How long has it even been since we had a 5th gate rumor/discussion?

lol its been too long... I like the idea of having the new park somewhere between epcot and magic kingdom, maybe on the other side of the contemporary even (is that even possible? or is there a reason why they havent developed on that land yet?) and add another string of monorail resorts around THAT lake, as for the dark ride ideas, yes i love that, disney has a whole library of films that they can make good dark rides out of especially alot of the popular 90s movies that never got their solid disney rides in any of the parks.. but I would also like to see them have some more thrill rides, and longerrr! rides at that,i hate waiting 50 or so minutes for a 2 minute thrill... but I think they should build a park similar to magic kingdom, using alot of the elements that magic kingdom uses, not sure if a castle like beauty and the beast's castle or something would be pushing it to be used as the park icon, but that escape into fantasy is one of the main reasons people go to disney so much, and mk does the best job at letting you escape into that "fantasy world" and keeping you in it... but yea thats my 2 cents, would also love to see some more splash mountain type rides, I think thats one of the best executed rides from the queue to the photo booth, they hit the nail on the head with that ride and got it just right

Nothing, I don't want a fifth gate. Part of the problem with the upkeep of the parks currently is that there is so much that Disney can't seem to keep everything in tip top shape. Adding a whole other theme park would only exasperate that issue. I personally want to see the current four parks made into spectacular parks before the idea of a fifth park is even discussed. Once they all reach the best that they can be then we can talk about adding another park.

I agree with the dark rides comments. More specifically, a good blend of thrilling dark rides like Splash Mountain, and kid-friendly dark rides like Peter Pan, et al.

The key is that they all be themed to the hilt. I would also like to see some of the Disney traditions brought back. Go back to the classics. It doesn't all have to be Pixar to be considered current.

I agree. While a fifth gate would be fun, i really think that they need to add/plus about 5 rides to each of the 4 parks before even thinking about a 5th.

ok then lets forget for a second that disney still needs to update the 4 parks, lets pretend that they are all considered "complete" and full day experiences to us disney geeks and that they need no more rides or updates for the time being...............NOW what would you like to see at the 5th park?

Disney Villans

A park dedicated to the Disney Villans. With a Villans theme the Dark Rides and Thrill rides should be ample.:drevil:

SC Dizney!

Isnt the Disney Cruise Lines, Since it originates from Florida and takes people to a private island, kind of the fifh gate. Its pretty much an extension of WDW vacations for most of the people on the cruises anyway. I have never heard any Disney offial past or present in recent years ever mention a 5th park for WDW. Theres plenty of room to add on anything ever dreamed of onto one of the exsisting parks.

I assume you are riding the waves of Sarcasm Sea with this post. To consider Castaway Cay or ANYTHING to do with Disney Cruise Lines as anything 5th gate related is rediculous at best. Also, someone correct me please, but Iger or some other top Disney official recently mentioned 5th gate by stating that there are no current new theme park plans for the two US resorts, only expansion and/or redevelopment ideas. Of course there will be a 5th gate one day, but ecertainly no time soon. Management has been heading in the right direction recently by refurbishing classic attrations and sprucing/plussing outdated or misguided aspects of the parks. MGM (Disney's Hollywood) and Animal Kingdom need at least a decade's worth of work before even considering a 5th park.:animwink:

If we're picking attractions for a 5th gate, I'd like to see WDI finally get around to building the dark ride to end all dark rides--Mr. Toad's Wild Journey Into 20,000 Horizons.
