Has anyone ever heard of/used ticketsatwork.com. I recently took up a second job to help fund my WDW trips, this healthcare company I work for has corporate discounts through ticketsatwork.com. One of the promotions is buy 4 days get three free MYW+ parkhopper. The price for this per adult is $248.65 and per child is $215.00. My questions are: 1) Can I use this in conjunction with a package? 2) If so do I buy the tickets from ticketsatwork.com and then call Disney and give them the scoop or do I call Disney and tell them I have a ticketsatwork.com discount code and go from there. 3) If I can't use it cohesively with a package is the DDE card a good option for dining? We love sit down and character meals. Thanks in advance for all the help!

You cannot combine tickets you buy separately with a Disney Package. You would be purchasing room only with Disney. However, there is a way around this....if you want to say do the dine package with Disney, you would book the package and add a 1 day base ticket to it. As long as you puchase at least a one day ticket, it is considered a package and you would have your dining portion for your entire stay....

Packages can't be done with tickets from re-sellers. If you want the benefits of a Disney package, you have to book it as a package through Disney or a Travel Agent booking through Disney.

DDE is only available to Florida Residents or AP holders.

If you plan on purchasing those tickets you would need to book a room only at Disney or a package with a 1 day base ticket if you plan to purchase one of the dining plans that are available in a package. So the answers to yoru questions are:

1. No
2. See paragraph above.
3. You cannot purchase the DDE unless you are a florida resident or have some type of annual pass

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions you may have with booking a trip to Disney.

Thanks guys for all the help. I knew that about the DDE cards, must have had a momentary lapse of sanity(it was afer all posted at 3 am). This still seems like a good deal though, right. I'll have to crunch some numbers and see what a room only for 6 nights would be. Then I could add one night package and have the dining plan for the length of my stay? I'm so confused:dazzle:. Pam, I have used your services in the past, but it turned out only to be a trip quote, I promise the next vacation I book you are getting my business. Thanks again!

Please keep in mind that the dining plan goes by per night of stay. You would have to have the package booked for everynight in order to get the dining plan for your length of stay. You can do a 1 day base ticket with the package in order to get the dining and then use your discounted tickets.

Let me make sure I have got this right: Say I am arriving on a Friday. That Friday I could book a MYW+Dining package For just the one night- one day. Doing this would enable me to have the dining for only one night? If this is the case how would this be beneficial?Or can I do the base ticket for one day, then have the package run the rest of my trip? sorry if I seem a little dull, just this is confusing me for some reason.

If you want the DDP you will have to have it for ALL the nights you are there. But to get it you have to purchase at least ONE base park ticket. So say you are staying for 8 nights. You book your hotel and dining (8 nights), and 1 day park ticket through Disney or travel agent for those nights. Then you buy the discounted tickets for the other 7 days. I hope this makes sense.

Purchase the package for the entire stay but only have the 1 day base ticket in order to qualify for the package in order to get the dining.

If you stay for 7 nights it would give you 7 snacks, 7 counter service meals and 7 sit down meal options per person since it goes by per night of stay.

Just to be sure you understand. Getting the 4-day hopper tickets with three days free at $248.65 and adding a one-day base ticket to qualify for a package may give you no savings at all.

A 7-day MYW Hopper ticket for an adult is $281.16. Your special deal plus a one-day base ticket will total $321.27.

You will not save money with discounted tickets if you also want a package.

But if he wants the dining plan he has to get a package and that is the cheapest way to go.

Pam
No, if he pays $248.65 for a seven-day hopper through a discounter and adds a $75.62 one-day base ticket to qualify for a package, he's paying a total of $324.27 for eight days' worth of admissions [one day of which would be non-hopper].

Why wouldn't he just buy a package with dining but have all eight days as MYW all with hopper for the going rate of $283.29? Or if he's only intending to stay 7 days, $281.16?

Adding a one-day base ticket to any discounted ticket no longer makes it a savings unless the discounted ticket is discounted by more than the cost of that one-day base ticket. I've never seen a discounter sell tickets that much below Disney's price [and I suspect that's why packages require tickets be included].

The math is straightforward...

I see now, young grasshopper less ignorant now! Well if it truly is cheaper to go the route of just Disney, well then i can just bypass the middle-man that does me no good at all. I guess if i wanted to stay off property and pay full price for the food, this would be a good deal. Thanks guys, for everything!

Monty my answer was based on him buying the ticket already. If he has not purchased it, then yes a discounted Disney package would be the best way to go. I do agree with you there. I was under the impression that he already had the tickets.
We actually work with a discounted ticket broker for those clients who only need tickets. We are always looking at the cheapest way to go. So if the tickets were not purchased then definitely go with a package to get the best savings.
