A question for those who frequent the parks very very often

Does visiting the parks very frequently (evey week,every other week...etc) lose its "magic" over time?

I'm getting an AP and was thinking about going over there frequently(3-4 times a month) and was thinking about that possible repercussion

so does this happen :shrug:

Nope, cause I take my time and visit different things each time I go. I can spend a whole day people watching if I want to, or strolling World Showcase. It doesn't matter if a ride is down, or a line is too long... I just do something else because there's always another day. With so many places to go and things to do, I never feel like it's lost the "magic", because for me the magic is simply getting out of my normal life and letting Disney take over my brain for awhile

There have been times when I don't even ride anything - just stop by for something to eat and watch a show/crowds - then go on to do whatever I'm in the area for. What I'm supposed to be doing. It's justified. Maybe. :lookaroun

If you went every week or every other day, maybe. I went last week and again today (well actually yesterday since its 2am and I can't sleep).

I spent the day at Epcot and took in four different wine seminars. I learned a lot. Met a bunch of really great people. Tried some awesome wines. It was great.

And besides, there's nothing better than saying, I'm in the mood to ride space mountain, hop in your car, ride it and go home and sleep in your own bed.

If it helps, I've had an annual pass to Disneyland for the last 15 years. I still go about once a week...sometimes more. I have never grown tired of the Parks, and I doubt I ever will. This week alone I've been twice, then once last week, then before that I was at WDW for a week-and-a-half, and then the night before I left for Florida I went to Disneyland with some friends. Of course, I'm also transferring the videos I took at Disney World to DVD on my DVD recorder and reviewing a tape taken at Disneyland on my camcorder as I write this. Finally, lest I forget, I worked at Disneyland for almost two years. If all of that hasn't dulled my interest in the Parks, then I don't know what could. Maybe I'm just a bit insane, though...

I agree with everyone else so far... take your time.. take path's you've never taken before, go to areas you probably skip, see/do attractions you might normally skip, etc...

Watching people is fun... my wife and I do that all the time... It's fun to see the difference in people even between different parks and areas... Like how the people at MK act different from the people at Downtown Disney... etc...

Something else that my wife and I do, is that we will spend a whole days going from resort to resort... See what the different resorts are like, how they are decorated/themed, the different food choices between resorts, etc....

We'll park at Downtown and use transportation all day... It's fun to try to use every form of transportation available in one day (trams, busses, Monorail, ferry boat, friendship boats, etc...)...

One thing about being an AP, you get in the "habit" of not standing in line and waiting on things... unless you really want to ride... because you know you can always come back later

That's the best thing about the parks, when you think you know everything, you learn something new. I love going to explore places no one else goes to. We're always asking, where's that path go to, where do those stairs lead. Check these things out. It's not all about the rides anymore.

I'm right there with everyone else. One of my favorite things to do is head to Animal Kingdom, grab a Safari Amber, and just walk around and soak in the sights, or sit on a bench and watch the people. You see and hear some really funny things!

I love having an AP because you never feel like you're being rushed. It's none of the "oh, we gotta see this" or "hurry, we've gotta do that". You can go at your own leisurely pace and not worry about missing anything. I've found myself going just to explore the parks; I won't ride anything, I'll just wander around aimlessly, exploring every single nook and cranny. I can go up for dinner if I want to, or, on a Friday night, if I've got nothing to do, I'll head up and hit a park or DisneyQuest.

I'm in the parks a minimum of twice per week and I still get excited to go each time. Its the one place I can go and feel like a kid again every time.

If its any help when I lived in Clearwater/St. Pete I went almost every weekend. Never lost one bit of the magic. For me as much as I went it always seemed like "vacation." Plus like it was said above, you can't put a price on waking up going..."I would love to have Cosmic Rays for lunch..." and actually being able to have Cosmic Ray's for lunch. I miss that so much! But hopefully soon, I will be back!

Although WDW is too far for me to get an AP, if I lived close enough I'd get one. I don't get tired of things easily. I could just walk around taking in the views all day. What an awesome place to be to escape the daily grind, and to be able to do it whenever you like.

I agree. We have had an AP for 4 years now. We go about once a month or so. We still cannot get enough. We cannot believe we are still this nuts about the place but hey it really is fun for us to spend time as a family and enjoy the time. We ride different rides, see different shows, there is sooo much to do it is hard to leave. You should be fine. If you can afford the Magic Addiction.......Go For It. :wave:

Due to the high gas prices, we only go about once a month now. We used to go 2 to 3 times and it's never gotten old (for us at least). We've been passholders for 7 years, and it's like going to a second home. It's strange, people have always asked us "don't you get bored?", "how can you go so often?" I think the reason it hasn't worn thin for us is because it's an escape from stress... you get to distance yourself multiple times a month from all the pressures of life. Even if you just sit on a bench and listen to area music, it's a remedy for when being an adult drags you down.
