Few notes from our trip...

Just a few notes from our trip over the weekend.

.. Service was great. The cast members were really wonderful. Talked with a WDW security gent. who was walking around Innovation East and found out he's one of the cast members who sings in the Candlelight processional. Was a wonderful person.

.. Tony's Town Square restaurant was horrible. The food was back within minutes after ordering it. Felt like it was sitting in a warmer waiting for us to eat it. Just terrible. We had Tony's planed for the night we do the Christmas party and I'm going to change our reservations now. The service was great though. Our server was wonderful and very attentive.

... Did our first MNSSHP and had a great time. Even though we had a good time, we like the Christmas party more. But to each his own.

... Crowds were great. Nothing was too crowded. The Food and Wine festival was packed, but that pretty much emptied out the rest of the park.

... My daughter was on a pin trading mission. She was really into collecting the cast member pins. She's almost got a couple of complete sets....

... and finally... the people. Monday night was watched Fantasmic! and as we and the rest of the cattle were leaving we got to watch about 30 people cut across the grass. This is my personal opinion, but to me that is just rude and disrespectful to both the property and those people in front of you. My two cents...

Anyway.. that's our trip... we had a great time... looking forward to our Christmas trip in 50 days.... can't wait.

I found this to be true the two times that I've eaten there. I almost didn't go back a second time after the first disappointment but thought it deserved a second chance. I was less impressed the second time so have decided not to go back there again. There are plenty of other restaurants at WDW that I like and would rather go to so I won't miss Tony's.

If I can add notes from my trip this weekend too?

Our 1st time to MNSSHP-we had an awesome time! My kids got to meet so
many characters and the trick or treating in the park was a blast.

On other days crowds not too bad...weather was perfect!

Beach Club Villas-very nice and if you are planning on visiting EPCOT or
MGM mainly, perfect location, BUT transportation to Magic Kingdom was
horrible...wait times were more 45-60 minutes. Housekeeping was VERY
slow as well. Glad we experienced this property, but not one we would
go back to.

Thing is, there are just aren't better options around MK. We are going for MVMCP and have reservations for Tony's that evening. We are doing California Grill the next night and Ohana (Ohana means family) has no decent time slots available. What to do?

I called today and there are NO other MK options before the party... or anywhere else for that matter. The best thing I could find was 5 pm at Il Mulino at the swan. So, we decided that we're going to go to the chinese buffett there along SR 535, grab like 3 take outs from the buffet, head back to our room at AKL and let the kids relax until it's time to leave for the party.

I can live with WDW shrinking down the menus, but that should mean the quality should go up... Tony's was just way too bad to go back there again. Then again, I stuidied to be a chef, so I have a pickier taste than others....

In addition to my comments from the trip, the HM was awesome...

yeah.. I should have... but it's never fun having your kids ask their mommie 'why is daddy beating up that person over there?'

Also, I played QB, so we have always had this thing about getting or hitting people. I do take TKD, so I could have just did some flying judo chop or something.

it was just sick to see people be so disrespectful. I don't even like my kids climbing over rocks at the AK que lines for Mickey...
