Parking Rates!?

Bit of a boring topic but what are the current parking rates for a day at DisneyWorld!? I have a vague recollection of $11 but, as a UK resident who opted for shuttle transfers last year, I'm not entirely sure and was trying to plan for a trip next year.

I'd imagine each park has it's own price so any additional information would be great! Do Water Parks charge the same!?

Thanks guys and gals,

It's $11.00/day for the 4 main themeparks. One parking permit is good for the entire day at any of the Disney parks on that particular day. (you pay at MK and can move your car later to DHS without paying again)

I don't know about the waterparks though...

Thanks for that - I'll hold off to see if someone steps in with some Water Park info.

As a side note, I noticed your already using the DHS tag as opposed to MGM!? I'm impressed - it just won't stick for me!! :brick:

DHS rolls off the tongue nicely I think. When I'm talking about it, I usually just say "The Studios" though, so switching to Hollywood Studios from MGM Studios isn't that big a deal for me.

If you're staying onsite, you don't have to pay for parking even if you drive yourself around. The resorts give you a parking permit for any theme park or water park....and plus there are always ways around paying for parking...if its that big a deal...which I think 11 dollars a day IS a big deal but oh well! :animwink:

Care to elaborate on some of the ways Devoy!?

Cheers SKNYDAVE. I had a feeling the water parks would be a different matter...

As I mentioned earlier, I haven't driven for quite a while (well, if we're being picky I've NEVER driven in Orlando, I only passed my test a few months back - hence the research!).

Can somebody shed some light on Downtown Disney and parking!? Is that free like the parks!?

Downtown Disney and the Waterparks have free parking. Main parks are $11/day, and as people have noted, one fee per day allows entrance to all four main parking lots. The hotels don't charge for parking, except, I think, for the Swan/Dolphin. Free parking also at Wide World of Sports, Fort Wilderness Outpost area, and the golf courses, as well as a small lot, I think, at Fantasia Gardens mini-golf. No charge for parking at the Boardwalk either.

So what your saying is I could park at some of the hotels and take Disney Transportation to the parks themselves!?:drevil:

I don't mind the fact that you have to pay but $11 per day over the course of a fortnight can get a little steep, you know!?

Thanks for the help guys...

The only snag there is you are given a 3 hour parking pass if you're just visiting one of the resorts. I have no idea if they actually check up on the cars later in the day.

I sent you a PM.

You could just park at the Boardwalk if you're going to Epcot...I've done that before...and you can actually park at any of the resorts, they normally don't check. I also think the parking gates break down at 4pm so you don't have to pay for parking after that....

When I see the $11 parking I just think that back here in PA, when you go to Philly you pay a minimum of $15+ to park for just a couple hours!! so $11 aint so bad in my book. (Though we always stay onsight so we never pay for parking :) )

That's definitely not a set-in-stone rule. I've shown up after 5pm and still had to pay parking. (Which I think is crap.) I've occasionally seen Epcot shut down their toll booths but MK is ALWAYS open in my experience. (I think one time we swung by there at like 7pm after doing something else and it was STILL charging.)

It depends on the resort and the time of year. Places like the Contemporary will check especially during peak season and I have seen cars without passes towed from there.
