New to this site. Love it. We have been to Disney two times before, but it has been about 4 years. We are taking our two teenagers there in two weeks to celebrate our oldest 18th birthday. Wondering if you have to pay extra admission to MK for Mickeys NOt So Scarey Halloween. Looks like it but not too sure. Is it really worth it with teenagers? Also any fun things we can do to celebrate his 18th Bday?

Tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party are $38.95 for adults 10+ if you purchase them ahead of time. They're $45.95 if you purchase them that day (you can see the dates and buy tickets online at disneyworld.com).

I think it's worth it. My aunt, mom, and I are going on October 11...they have a great fireworks show and IMO, the best WDW parade ever. Getting "free" candy is always fun (even for adults :D), and there's special entertainment, in addition to many attractions being open (hours are 7pm to midnight, but you can usually get in a little earlier, from what I'm told).

This is separate admission to the parks, so if you have a MYW ticket that does not include days at the park for every day of your trip (for example, you are in WDW for 8 days but you only have a 6-day hopper), it might be a good day to spend the afternoon at DTD or the BW and then head to MK for the party. I think teenagers would have a really good time (I know I would have loved it when I was that age - I'm 26 now).

I'm a little tired, but I'll think about cool birthday things to do and get back to you (I know in the meantime, many people will have great ideas for you!).

Have a great time on your trip (I'll be there 10/6-10/13 - Woo hoo!)!

I think it's worth every penny! We used to go at Christmas time, which we will do again! But we love the MNSSHP even better! We kept losing my husband and he would always be trick or treating somewhere it was hysterical! My kids are 26 and 31 and they were having a blast. We saw quite a few teenagers there and they were having fun also. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

Neat! Here I am, keep an eye out. I'll be running frantically toward rare characters like this one (I'm such a nerd)

PeoplemoverTTA, I have that same shirt. I love Old Navy!

MNSSHP is great. Worth every penny. I had to work very hard to convince everyone else is my traveling party that it would be a good idea to go, but once we were there, all decked out in our costumes, they thanked me over and over again!

my son is the one turning 18. My other child is a girl that just turned 15. We are so excited about our trip. Any things we should know about Port Orleans French Quarter? The other times we have gone we stayed at the Carribean.

I love POFQ and POR. Make sure you go over to POR and try Boatwright's for breakfast one morning - Sweet potato pancakes or banana stuffed French Toast!!! Yum!!!!
You'll find you have a lot less walking than you did at CBR, and the boat ride to DTD is really nice! Have a great time!

I definitely agree about the boat to DTD. It's a nice change of pace from the buses.

Also, what I love about FQ is all the little details. Even in the rooms, compared to Caribbean Beach...the change of decor, and the privacy curtain by the sink area (which is very convenient, IMO) are nice touches. I like to walk around the resort and take pictures of the different buildings and things I notice.

On another board several months ago, I actually ranked POFQ as my favorite WDW resort, combining many factors like price, amenities, location, etc. (When price isn't an issue I'd say Yacht Club). I just love staying at POFQ, and I'm glad I get to stay there in less than three weeks (sorry, just had to throw that in there...I'm so excited :D).
