Small refurb in WL

This is my first post but i have been a long time reader on this forum so pse bare with me.

just came back from 10 days at WL. on the last day they had parts of the main lobby blocked of so they could redo some the of the floors especially near the bridge and elevators. just a fyi.

but my main question is: are they gonna refurb the lodge soon?
reason why i ask is last 2 days it rain like hell and it seemed to me that it was raining more inside the lodge than outside.:shrug:

anyways tks for all the info and help from all. my other half thinks im nuts on spending 1 hour a day reading this board.

hmm not sure what else there is to rehab now that the floors are being worked on.. aside from the restaurants and front desk the majority of the resort got a rehab to some extent over the past few years. that includes outside brickwork and roofing... strange it still takes on water.. at least it fits the theme of the hotel..:dazzle:

I guess they were refinishing the wooden floors at that end of the lobby, they take a beating. They just finished refurbing the Lodge (painting, new rugs and furniture) so I doubt they will do more anytime soon. They have always had trouble when it really rains (water comes in under the doors in the far end of the lobby) and during really humid conditions the windows sweat and the floors can be dangerous. I think its more design than anything else and there isn't much they can do.


And if you only spend an hour here daily, you are not trying hard enough. :lol::lol:

when i mean water was coming in, it wasnt from the doors and windows, it was mostly from the roof. there were buckets and whatnot everywhere.

anybody know how much wood is actually in the lodge? we had a little arguement back there bout this. she says lots i say mostly not.
