when you hit quote, you will get something that resembles below:

This is very basic html code. You can edit what is between the quote brackets.

or if you go to quick reply and GoAdvanced, you can edit within the quotation.

I usually highlight and delete what I want, but use ... before it.

I took out the "or if you". That way people know there was something else before what was quoted.

wow...you know I've NEVER used quick reply until right now! I really don't see any advantage using Quick Reply over hitting "quote".
