Hi everyone!! DH and I are going back to the World :sohappy: :sohappy: July 24-28, and would like to know how the gas pricing is?? Thank you.:sohappy:
I am from Orlando, but am currently doing an Internship in Houston (I like your city by the way), and can tell you that it seemed to be much cheaper here in Houston that it was in Florida...avoid the gas stations that are right on the beaten path (disney's Hess, ALL of them on I Drive) and you should get it considerably cheaper. I would just fuel up outside the city and once you are inside "disney limits" transportation in your car is not very necessary....hope it helpsHi everyone!! That's rediculous BS. The Hess Stations on Disney property, as everyone above has mentioned, are usually the cheapest gas in all of greater Orlando.I am from Orlando, but am currently doing an Internship in Houston (I like your city by the way), and can tell you that it seemed to be much cheaper here in Houston that it was in Florida...avoid the gas stations that are right on the beaten path (disney's Hess, ALL of them on I Drive) and you should get it considerably cheaper. The lowest gas price in the state of Florida is $2.71 at a Sam's club in Spring Hill. The lowest reported fuel price in Orlando is $2.74 at the Citgo at US 17-92 next to Auto Zone. The HESS across from DTD, at The Boardwalk and at the car care center at MK are all at $2.76. So where are you buying gas that makes the HESS stations at seem WDW pricey?:veryconfuI am from Orlando, but am currently doing an Internship in Houston (I like your city by the way), and can tell you that it seemed to be much cheaper here in Houston that it was in Florida...avoid the gas stations that are right on the beaten path (disney's Hess, ALL of them on I Drive) and you should get it considerably cheaper. I have gotten gas there only twice (sometimes between January and March) and both times the prices were 10 cents higher than the 3 gas stations right near UCF (about 30 mins away)..it was my only comparison since thats where I live...but was 100 percent higher at the HESS (at least my 2 visits...who knows maybe a CM was having a bad day and decided to jack the prices just to spite us)..no, but in all honesty sorry if I gave you a bad bit of advice..just going off of what I have seen living in Orlando and going there once a week. The lowest gas price in the state of Florida is $2.71 at a Sam's club in Spring Hill. No harm no foul. Gas prices can vary so widely (which always makes me wonder about gouging)it is hard to keep track. I drive about the same distance (30 minutes) to work and the gas prices in my neighborhood are on average 10 to 20 cents a gallon cheaper than next to my office. In the realm of WDW the Chevron on 535 is 62 cents a gallon higher than the HESS at DTD which is less than half a mile away.I have gotten gas there only twice (sometimes between January and March) and both times the prices were 10 cents higher than the 3 gas stations right near UCF (about 30 mins away)..it was my only comparison since thats where I live...but was 100 percent higher at the HESS (at least my 2 visits...who knows maybe a CM was having a bad day and decided to jack the prices just to spite us)..no, but in all honesty sorry if I gave you a bad bit of advice..just going off of what I have seen living in Orlando and going there once a week.
62 cents?!?!?! thats ridiculous...Well then, In conclusion perhaps the Hess Gas station is the last of a dying breed of a commodity that is not largely inflated just because of the convenience of location near disney. No harm no foul. I believe they're contracted to a certain price range/variance, part of the deal to kick exxon mobil off property and bring hess in. When it was exxon mobil, the prices were not that great.62 cents?!?!?! thats ridiculous...Well then, In conclusion perhaps the Hess Gas station is the last of a dying breed of a commodity that is not largely inflated just because of the convenience of location near disney.
The price difference has become so obnoxious that the wife and often have an over under bet on the price difference between the 535 Chevron and the HESS at DTD.I believe they're contracted to a certain price range/variance, part of the deal to kick exxon mobil off property and bring hess in. And yeah, I always feel bad for guests that fill up at the 535 chevron, shell, ect. Those prices are TERRIBLE.
