Thanks... i was in the shower and now have to go to work.

Whats interesting was the subtle beefing up of security over the weekend.

How is a pipe bomb not designed to harm anyone or damage property?
Their words were a little misleading. I guess a more correct statement would be that it was not designed to maximize the damage it could have caused. A simple pipe with packed with black powder will not really cause that much damage, if it explodes at all, and is really not much more that a big firework. Now one packed with a higher grade explosive and wrapped in nails can send out lethal projectiles for more than a hundred feet and it designed expressly for the purpose of causing harm and or damage.

I swear, the world is going to heck in a handbasket.

I wonder how long it will be before bags are being searched at DTD?
I wonder how long it will be before we are charged to park at DTD?

It will all be in the name of safety of course, but in reality, all of the security in the world at the 1996 Olympics games here in Atlanta didn't stop Eric Robert Rudolph from leaving a bomb in the park to go off.

While I remember being at the park in Atlanta just a few days prior to the bombing and thinking just how safe I did feel in downtown Atlanta, for once and maybe the only time in my life, so it was a shock to find out that it had happened. When we were there before the bomb, there was no place that you could look where you didn't see a cop, a security guard, or an armed military guard....and it just felt safe, but it still wasn't enough.

Sorry, I still have issues with just how helpless that made me feel. I hate not being in control! Maggie

Sorry I ever doubted the person who started the other thread about this. I looked everwhere and couldn't find a story. Fox 35 is not the most reliable when it comes to stories.

Yea, I was about to post a thread about this. I had heard from my mom who was talking to my grandmother, and she had said something about a bomb in WDW. I was big time trippin and had to immediately check this site. I didnt want to post a repeat thread out of ignorance and alarm anyone from what I thought to be nothing, since my grandma is one to think she knows it all and at times can be truly ignorant.

So it wasnt something fatal?

EDIT:

Ok, I just read the Sentinel and it said it wasnt anything too serious.
